Apropos of nothing. This came into my head as a topic of discussion. From the title its pretty self explanatory. What are stand out examples of times a player was a hero/villain going into half time and the opposite at full time.

Henderson at Peterborough in the 17/18 great escape season. Scored the winner in the first half, got a stupid red in the second which meant he was banned until the last game of the season.

Yes indeed, the away fans were definitely the 11th man that day. How about times when a player has played exceptionally in the first half and woefully in the second or vice versa.

Josh Lillis was incredible that game too. Definite villain Hendo - although you could say his suspension contributed to Joe Thompson getting that moment in the final game. The only hero/villain I can come up with is David Perkins v Darlington in the play offs. Scored the worldie to take us to extra time but then got sent off (albeit harshly) in extra time. Ultimately his suspension in the final could have cost us promotion - it certainly weakened us massively v Stockport.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
