I think its time we forget about the Brackley game (at least until we lose out on promotion by 1 point!)There were reasons why Jim did what he did - it wasn't just a random brainfart - and had Whatmuff not been ill we still probably would've won that game because Myles cost us both goals.Yes he shouldn't have made 11 changes but the reaction since is our best run of form in our history. We've lost 1 game at York since (no disgrace) and drawn 0-0 at Sutton where a Gordon goal was wrongly given offside. We've won 10 away games since Brackley and won our last 5 away games. We've also won at Carlisle and Forest Green. You could even argue that last Wednesday's bit of luck in the 94th min gets back 2 of the 3 lost points at Brackley. He will play our strongest available starting X1 today - I have no doubts about that as we've only 2 games this week and next weekend off. |

Some of their results against our rivals. York 4 Truro 0 Southend 4 Truro 0 (fa cup) Solihull 4 Truro 0 Scunthorpe 4 Truro 0 Carlisle 3 Truro 0 They did lose 2-1 at Borehamwood and poor Forest Green drew 1-1 - that must've had the best manager of the best team spewing! |

McNulty may have mentioned shooting but I think its just for show. He's a modern coach and its all about XG. Shooting from distance isn't encouraged anymore. The likes of Simmo,Stuart,Lambert,Grant scoring 25 yard screamers from outside the box is a thing of the past. I think shooting and finishing needs to be prioritised a bit more or we wouldn't be missing so many chances infront of goal - certainly McBride is a huge culprit of this - he should be doing extra finishing drills if he isn't already - if he could hit the target he'd be in double figures already this season. |

We do overplay quite a lot though. Whether that's because Jim's training philosophy is pass, pass, pass and sometimes the players obey it too strictly? Pritchard saying he just put the ball into a dangerous area is refreshing - even if it was because we were desperate for a goal and running out of time. Had it been earlier in the game maybe he would've turned back and recycled the ball for a more precise delivery - sometimes its worth just having a punt. |

Although the goal did deviate from the gameplan. Whatmuff launched a long ball upfield, Hendo controlled and knocked it down to Pritchard and he crossed it into the far corner. Sometimes 3 passes can be as satisfying as 30. [Post edited 23 Jan 9:10]

I think Southend could be our toughest game out of this next run. They seem to be hitting very good form at a good time. They should've beaten York last weekend and they have Dallas back who was missing from the abandoned game. It would be great if we could get our own talisman back for that game - Mani D, where are you? |

Yes we've certainly not got a great record under Jim in big games at home. In terms of promotion contenders you can only really gauge this season and last. We beat Gateshead and Altrincham at home last season but they were both struggling for form and dropping out of play off contention at the time. This season at home (and Accrington) the highest 2 teams we've played are Halifax and Hartlepool and we lost them both. York in the F.A.Cup and Southend the abandoned game. These next 5 weeks that will have to change if we are to challenge York. |

There was a Le Fondre penalty winner at Wycombe too - think that was 1-0. (Just checked it was 89th min). [Post edited 22 Jan 7:46]

Cant for the life of me think of the last time this happened? Even rarer a 1-0 injury time winner. There can't be any better way to win a game certainly for team spirit and feelgood factor. The perfect way to lead upto our homecoming on Saturday. |

The Next 5 midweek games will certainly shape our season regarding winning the league. Southend h, Boreham Wood h, Forest Green h, Scunthorpe h, Halifax a. |

Just seen your Southend comment! I cant believe they are charging fans for a re arranged abandoned game! Especially for the Southend fans! Shocking that. |

He doesn't seem to look up but who cares! I don't think we get an awful lot of luck most of the time so we'll take it when it comes along! |

Huge that! Title winning ending and 3 points all on a Wednesday night too!!! |

McBride is a shocking finisher. I'm convinced that chip at Altrincham was a pass trying to find Hendo. |

Prefer Scunthorpe winning to be honest - Borehamwood haven't lost in ages so its good they get knocked back a bit - and we have thevchance of overtaking them again now tomorrow. Scunthorpe aren't as consistent but can definitely cause an upset on their day. |

Just seems quite a big difference to me. To have only lost 1 daytime game out of 17 played but lost 3 from 6 night matches. Hope it improves tomorrow night. |

Well at least its not his ACL. |

So only won 3 from 6 games. A lot worse than weekends. 50% win compared to 88%. [Post edited 20 Jan 11:43]
