Anyway it reads....apologies for any mistakes
I am writing these notes after getting back from Burton Albion.at 12.30am on Wednesday. I need to do it now because I have once again pushed my deadline right up to the last minute and Quinny will be pulling his hair out.
I have work early in the morning and I also still need to edit and upload the latest Jimbo interview for Shrimps player. I will be a while yet but the house is quiet and I can get on. I mention this because I have just taken the wife a cup of tea and she sleepily told me that I must be mad.
Mad? Why? I get alot out of helping the club and supporting what is in my eyes still a rock solid family orientated club that is about the fans. I get a lot out of seeing the effort that everyone behind the scenes puts in. Jimbo, Ken and the playing squad are the obvious ones here but it goes well beyond the team. The team behind the team are as important as anyone on the pitch if we are to be successful.
Whether it is the cleaner who ensures the facilities are clean and tidy and ready for use for players, the kitmen who do so much more than just look after the kit, the Matchday Secretary, whose job title does not do his role anywhere near justice and implies a fortnightly role, the physio and firness team who keep a small squad in tip top condition and get that extra percentage out of each individual that addas up a lot over a season, or the security team who keep everyone safe without them even realising.
Another paragraph mentioning 'Bars and catering', Car Park stewards, Receptionist, Greeters, Directors, Commercial Team, Doctors and medical staff... which I cant be bother typing about... but its all glowing obviously.
Then there are all the fans that turn up week after week to hand over hard earned cash to watch their team. Come rain or shine, hail or snow, they will be there. Try and stop them! If I'm mad then I am not alone. In fact I would suggest I'm in good company!
We all love this club and we have all been on the same journey and continue to be. Apologies if there was anyone left out of that little list (Don't worry Mark there wasn't, it goes on forever - TTNY). The point I'm trying to make is that everyone is important and everyone plays a part in this madness we call Morecambe Football Club.
As long as we all stick together and keep going we will always be ok !
