Well what can you say about that today? Glad to come away with three precious points after a damn hard workout against a very direct side. Tricky conditions and a dog of a surface, playing our usual fluent passing game was never going to be easy and so it proved. Even with the never ending count of corners they had it never looked like they would find the back of the net and when Allen slammed home the first with a rasping shot there was only going to be one winner, Vincenti's second after some goalmouth pin ball sealed a really good win. Allen was again outstanding and was MOM for me, sometimes you have to win ugly and today we did....These are the games that you need to win to get a promotion or win a title, roll on Tuesday for what will be another battling game ....... |  |
