Being cut from £1.4m to £900k next season.

Anyone got any idea what ours is?

Don't know ours, but reducing the budget by 500k may have helped Justin Edinburgh to make the decision to manage Gillingham.

So are clubs like Wrexham, Newport County, Colwyn Bay & Merthyr Town no longer getting funding to stay over here from FAW. If not i hope we get the likes of TNS, Newcastle FC, Bucknell FC & Bishop's Castle Town FC back in exchange for these exiled welsh clubs

That can't allow for many big earners. Maybe a couple (Dawson and Henderson?) on £100k a year and most of the other senior players (Lillis, Lund, Vincenti, Eastham, Lancashire, Bennett, Rose) on £60-80k. That would account for about £700k.

Then some of the younger and more fringe players (Rafferty, Tanser, Hery, Eastham, Allen, Brandy, Muldoon, Andrew) on £40-50k. And if those not yet established (RNL, Camps, Bunney, Logan) get £20-30k that would be at least another £400k.

This is pure guesswork and no doubt some of the players get rather more (or less). Presumably the £1.1m includes appearance money and other bonuses, but not the salaries of KH and the rest of the management team

Probably most other L1 clubs have bigger budgets, and Bristol C., Sheffield U. and one or two others pay some players a lot more (Matt Done now on £200k?). Which would suggest it isn't all about money, as so far this season Dale players have achieved more on less.

How much then? I was guessing but £400 a week before deductions doesn't seem all that much for a player whose 22 this summer and has featured in more than 60 senior matches, including some at Championship level.
