Levein said Vanecek did not hold the ball up well enough and explained that he has not played since the Czech season shut down in November.

Not very much if any TBH. I was listening to Dale player, so my info comes from there, apparently for a big lad Thiam was going down very easy and ended up getting subbed at half time as his own gaffer was not happy about it.
The tweet shows he dived for a penalty backing up what Dale player said.
But you apparently were there, so what did you think of Thiam and the way he played and how McLoughlin did? | |

Anyway, no idea which player he was, but I'm guessing he was the left-winger. If so, he was quite nippy, but with little end product.
McLoughlin did quite well defensively, but most of Barnsley's attacks in the first half came down the other flank.
He didn't have much opportunity to get forward; that's likely to happen more at home.

sorry Brierls I should have give you a trigger warning that I was going to ask a question on here so you could find your safe space 
by the way, for clarity. there is no agenda, you criticise me for my opinions on Hill without me making my position clear, so just for you, here is my honest view ....
Hills time has run it's course but I will not Boo or chant for him to leave, because of what he has done here.
however like wenger at arsenal, mourinho at man united or plenty of other managers, sometimes a manager loses his touch at a club. the longer it continues the worse it gets, so I would like Hill to leave but by gracefully resigning not being fired, would like the man to leave with some dignity.
With that said, I think the board will keep him on and by doing so we must ask the board to sign him the players he asked for early on this week.
The board [lack of transfer activity] and some players [possible fall outs] have let Hill down this season as well, it's not all Hill's fault, but Hill has also made quite a few mistakes and I honestly feel the time has come for a change.
Also think our fans are split down the middle on Hill now as well.
Your entitled to disagree pal, but I am also entitled to have my view, have a good night.
