President Morris 13:30 - Sep 27 with 2402 views | HullDale | Following on from the renaming of the main stand to the 'David Kilpatrick' stand, the club have confirmed that Graham Morris has accepted the position of 'President' of Rochdale AFC. These 2 moves, coupled with the Cloughie statue, board appointments and rumoured off the field progress are starting to make it genuinely feel like we are getting our club back. The two decorated servants of Dale, had had their matchday privileges removed by the recently spat out Directors at the famous June 1st AGM. The two spat out Directors who claimed they were lifelong fans, haven't been seen since, but are busy seeking the highest bidder for their shares - coonts - whilst the club under a new decent board seeks to honour those who deserve recognition. It's a shift from greedy gits with their snouts in the trough, to a more decent way. A Dale way, if you like. I'm sure Graham will be honoured and touched. There isn't a better man in this town.

A genuine question. Why did DK and GM oppose the buying back of the stadium ? Was it because of the way it was done, or did they think it could lead to us losing both the Club and the stadium if there was a takeover from unwanted vultures?

If i had a proper lottery win then i would not hesitate in purchasing their shares and give them to the trust whatever the cost......

I was at the AGM where DK launched into a tirade about the purchase of the ground, it was absolute gold. I think the main issue was that they felt we'd bought the ground back at an overinflated price, with interest.

Thanks, so it wasn't the principal of the purchase but the amount paid.

I’m not too sure I can answer that. I just gathered they weren’t happy with the deal full stop & pretty much felt like we’d been ripped off.
