Our on-loan keeper at Newcastle (Ramsdale) has just saved 3 penalties to put the Mags through against Bournemouth in a shoot-out. Oh to have him back here eh. |

We are so mentally weak it's untrue. I really fear what Saints team are going to trot out onto the pitch at Fratton Park in a couple of weeks from now. |

And as Macclesfield have just proved by beating Palace, a banana skin awaits Saints today if we don't have the right attitude or commitment. Another showing like Boro last time out & we could be a laughing stock today come full time. |

Surely QPR would want to beef up their defensive line further by taking Jack Stephens off our hands?... please? Pleeease? |

100% When you look back at how we played when TE was just an interim boss - compared to how we've been playing ever since he was given the job full time - what changed? The answer is nothing. Eckert is still playing the same formation with 3 at the back. He hasn't changed - and probably won't because he's a stubborn git who, just like Will Still and Russell Martin before him, have all attended coaching schools where they've learnt/been taught to coach one way & one way only. They're frightened - or incapable - of changing things. It's their way or the highway. We all know that a good manager changes things during a game if it's going badly. The three above aren't capable - because they don't know how and know only one way of playing & must stay within their comfort zones. So I blame the players every bit as much as the manager. Those same players who excelled when he was interim manager are exactly the same players several weeks on... and yet they now bottle it and can't be arsed to put a shift in - the Boro away game being the perfect example. Our manager is shite but we're stuck with him. As for the players ; they should all hang their heads in shame at their performances since TE was permanently appointed. |

The inventors of the brochure have sadly died. RIP Pam Flett and her husband, Lee. |

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is on his way to England to undergo a medical at Saints. Meanwhile, flop Damion Downs is heading for Hamburg... sadly only on loan. Fingers crossed we acquire a couple of decent players in the coming days. I won't hold my breath... |

I see Chelsea have today appointed Liam Rosenior as their manager on a 6-year contract. It will be interesting to see how he does at such a toxic and demanding club. I know we were looking at him before we appointed the PlayStation pillock, so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on. |

Eckert was the U-21 manager and no doubt he would have liked to have added a youngster or two to the first team training/squad - seeing as he knows better than anyone their progress. Sadly, he's had to play the likes of Aribo and Damion Downs to put them in the shop window in order to bring in the extra £££ for January - as per the SR way. |

In the dirty world of football backhanders & money/agents/PL 'elite' teams like Chelsea & Man United, I wouldn't put it past them to let Maresca go to Old Trafford... as long as the FA get their 'cut' from any deal. |
