So the second goal goes through Bazunu legs and the third goal is a low drive across him. As I’ve said many times he just can’t save anything driven across him . Fkin useless keeper. [Post edited 4 Jan 17:03]

I listened to the whole first half we were totally dominant and missed chance after chance. The reporter could not believe what he was seeing we were missing sitters !!!! Armstrong Azaz Flyn Downs all sitters !!

Nick sorry but McCarthy and Bazunu are nowhere near good enough. I study a lot of Bazunu and McCarthy. Bazunu is very weak at saving shots fired across him, take a look yourself and study the videos it’s glaringly obvious . He is good at reaction saves as is Mcarthy and he can tip a few over the bar as he did at Brum but we let in far too many goals and I can see why we are getting this keeper in . |

I Saw a friend of mine last night in the home section supporting the brummies . He is a massive Birmingham fan , was born there but his son and daughter support saints and they all live in Southampton . His daughter was with him last night and she goes to St Mary’s often. |

1.Good to see you last night Nick and have a beer.
2.Got to Birmingham by train really early about 3 pm which left plenty of time for various pubs . Went into The old contemptibles and The Square Peg plus the one I met you in Nick , I can’t recall the name. A good old boozer very lively after the game with locals enjoying themselves .
3.There were quite a few saints fans in our hotel, The Holiday Inn .
4.The concourse offered a decent balti pie.
5. Maybe I should have stayed in Australia, 🤔 |

I went to Exeter at St Mary’s 30,000 there. Never really bothered because of no trains and as Pat says rubbish atmosphere with too many families involved who aren’t really fans, just taking little Johnny to his first ever game types. |

Im confused here Dirk .
Azaz, Fellows, Scienza and Jander have all been great bits of recruitment. Azaz and Fellows were star performers for their previous championship clubs and I remember saying on here a while back we just need to but really good Championship players which is what we did . I do agree our spine is not strong though . Ie goalkeeper, centre half and centre forward. [Post edited 27 Dec 2025 17:40]

22 you can’t say we need a complete reset after winning 6 games with the same players. Lay off the knee jerk reactions mate . I do agree our midfield is not strong enough, Romeu may come good again let’s see and don’t criticise Azaz he’s had a great run. Manning is ok , Archer has been very disappointing and contributes nothing he was the bookies favourite to be the divisions top scorer ! . Sell Damion Downs and get a decent centre forward and new keeper and holding midfielder it’s too easy for teams to charge through us . |

He doesn’t save many fired across his body. He’s just too slow to get down to them . We really do need a new keeper, we concede far too many goals. The frustrating thing is we’ve all known this for years plus we need a decent centre forward . Why aren’t these glaringly obvious problems addressed ffs ? |

Mark Wright was the best centre back we have had in the last 50 years in my opinion , totally class, loved watching him play. I was at that game too. When you think of all the semi finals we’ve been in (all competitions) in the last 55 years we really should have won more trophies . Ive seen them all 9 or 10 off the top of my head . |

Yes used to love playing . We had two teams who played Saturdays and there were friendly games on Sundays. we all used to meet after at the old Thatched house in Shirley where we used to talk about the games, have a few beers, put the world to right , good times.
We often toured to south wales and Devon and Cornwall and sometimes Shropshire.
We won the Tommy Green cup one year whilst playing in the Evening cricket league .
I played against Esso Fawley and Hythe and Dibden . |

Graham Baker joined after I stopped playing . He still plays for Travellers now( although it’s now North Baddesley and Romsey as Travellers have now merged with them ) . My dad used to open the batting with me and he was chairman of the club for many years.
Did you play for the travellers ? I might know you lol |
