I know it's a long shot but does anyone happen to know of a Brentford ticket going spare? |
| Forum Thread | The problem with England? at 16:20 21 Jul 2014
Whenever a player is identified as a talent big clubs swoop in pay well over the odds for him and then he struggles to deal with the price tag and never reaches his full potential, Ashley young and James Milner were both cracking players for villa then city and United come in take Milner for £24 million and young for £18, no way are they worth that much! Same thing happened with jack Rodwell, chris smalling, andy Carroll, Stuart downing, Glenn Johnson, swp (when he went to Chelsea) joleon lescott and many others. In my opinion Leighton baines has done it correctly left Wigan for Everton for a reasonable fee and has played brilliantly there. Players in Spain often re join the big clubs after a long spell away somewhere (Fabregas, pique, Lopez etc) and it seems to be working well for them. Bottom line is that big clubs need to allow players to grow before throwing them into to an environment that they're struggling to cope with, unforgiving fans that are expecting trophies and huge salaries make it very difficult for a player to reach their full potential |
| Forum Thread | We spend too much? at 10:24 8 Jul 2014
Our team for the play off final: Green-free Simpson-free Dunne-free Onuoha- 4million (i believe not sure though) Hill- free Barton-free Oneil-free Hoilett- 4million Kranjcar-loan Doyle-loan Austin-4 million Bench: Murphy-free Traore-free Ravel-loan Yun-1 million Zamora-5 million Henry- 1 million Hughes- free Brings you to a grand total of: 19 million Fulham spent 11 million on McCormack and 11 million on that striker they brought in in January yet we spent too much 👠|
| Forum Thread | No contract for oneil yet at 12:55 1 Jul 2014
@Gazoneil: July 1st. My first day of unemployment.... Surely we should show a bit more loyalty towards him, plenty of players would've let russel run through on goal. Instead he took one for the team knowing full well that had we of lost he would've been hated by many, I'm disappointed that we haven't offered him a new deal but hey I'm sure we can find a 35 year old who wants 50k a week to come in |
| Forum Thread | Would you keep taarabt at 12:40 1 Jul 2014
There's no denying he's got talent and is a good player but his attitude isn't something we need/want in the dressing room but then look at Barton after his loan he came back a different man could that be the case for adel. Would you keep him? If no who would you want to see come in as his replacement |
| Forum Thread | More players linked: at 09:52 29 Jun 2014
It's 9:45 and I've already seen us linked with 4 new players; Gylfi sigurdsson: frozen out by spurs and doubt he will get a game once more players have come in, personally I think this could be a very good deal for us if we could get him for around 5million however I could see it being part of the remy deal if he ends up at white hart lane Kyle naughton: again like Sigurdsson not much hope of getting a game and would be available on the cheap, one of Harry's tried and tested can play at left back or right back and could see redknapp preferring him to yun at left back Adebayor: does this suprise anyone? Nope didn't think so. wouldn't want him at rangers yes he scores goals but his wages would be very high and he's not very young I beleive he's around 28 although I'm not sure Demba ba: scores goals yes but the negatives outweigh the positives, plays for Chelsea and they certainly wouldn't want him coming to us on the cheap. Personally would like us to get sigurdsson, wouldn't mind naughton and perhaps ba, but it would be a no to adebayor |
| Forum Thread | Some transfers I think we should look into... at 13:17 23 Jun 2014
Divock Origi from Lille: as been good when coming on for Belgium, 19 years old no doubt in a few years a move to the likes of spurs would come about if he is to stay at Lille but I think he would be a perfect fit for us Clint Dempsey from Seattle: premier league experience, 30+, former spurs player surely redknapp is interested sounds like his ideal player, no doubt he's got ability but I'd only bring him in if taarabt goes and we bring in someone younger as well Ince (free agent): this i think is the most likely of all of them. On a free I can't see why we wouldn't go for him however if his dad gets in the way I wouldn't be surprised if Harry lets it go, he's young quick and hungry for premier league football Harry maguire from Sheffield United: there's no doubt now we will end up with Ferdinand or hangeland so we should try and add a younger centre back to go with them other wise next season we will be again looking for a centre back as all others will be too old Anyone else you would want to add? |
| Forum Thread | Premier league fixtures at 15:25 2 Jun 2014
The fixtures for next season will be released at 9am on the 18th of June. Predictions? I'm going for Southampton away |
| Forum Thread | Potential team for next season, thoughts at 15:27 28 May 2014
GREEN SIMPSON CHEIF CAULKER (from baadiff) YUN (perhaps bring in a left back if he doesn't start well) BARTON HOLTBY (not wanted at spurs would be a great signing imo) HOILETT TOWNSEND (pochettino wants to bring in lallana might be looking to get rid) RAVEL (doesn't want to play for big Sam young and very talented) AUSTIN What changes would you make |
| Forum Thread | Tom Carroll at 08:46 28 May 2014
Didn't have the best season but he's only young and will improve, would he be a worthwhile signing I'm not too sure but our midfielders are getting old rather quickly Barton, oneil, Henry, faurlin, jenas there not going to be around for much longer so would Carroll be worth signing or would you prefer to see another centre mid join the club? |
| Forum Thread | A few transfer rumours to keep your mind off tomorrow at 18:40 23 May 2014
Joe cole has be released by west ham today and we know how much redknapp rates him so I wouldn't be suprised to see that one happen even if we stay in the championship I would say probability of the deal happening 8/10 Frank lampard, I don't want him at qpr he's a good player but is getting old and loves Chelsea in general I just don't want him at rangers however, out of contract, redknapps his uncle and we could offer him a nice contract but don't see this happening if we don't go up and I see him going to the mls probability of the deal happening: 3/10 Sebastian bassong (Norwich city) having been relegated he may be looking for a move away, he played under redknapp at spurs and is a reliable centre back could be a replacement for dunne next year probability of the deal happening: 5/10 |
