Came across this bloke, Chris Ross, The East End poet (worth following) and watched the little ditty below which I thought was quality.
With a few little changes I've improved it dramatically!!
"I was born in the West End of London. And I’m Rangers through and through You might follow some other team But I guess that’s up to you But I’ll still sing about Stanley And wear the blue and white hoops 'Cause I was born in the West End of London And I’m Rangers through and through.
Now some blokes follow the Arsenal Tottenham and West Ham Millwall Charlton and Chelsea But I don’t give a damn Orient Palace and Fulham I don’t care about you 'Cause I was born in the West End of London and I’m Rangers through and through oh yeah Rangers through and through
I'm not sure I've ever seen a player quite like Bannan, He looks every inch a Sunday league player with his massive shorts, stumpy little legs, slightly protruding gut and dodgy tintin baldy head......but he runs every single game I 've ever seen him play in.
I too was looking to see if he has a twin that disguises himself as a ball boy who in the blink of an eye throws off his jacket, sneaks onto the the pitch unnoticed and pops up 120 yards away from where you last saw him.
Towards the end, he took a free kick near the half way line, thumped it into the box, where it was nodded away, and there he was, on the edge of the box to pick it up having run past two or three motionless Rangers players to keep the attack going.
From what I was told, after most home games he'd get a taxi to the Crown and Sceptre and never having any money, the landlord would have to go out and give the cabby the £1 or so for his fare.
One Saturday he came in a bit later than usual....."can you go and square the cab" he asked, and out went the landlord as usual, only to find the fare was some astronomical amout...because Stan was now playing for Forest!
Isn't Tyson Fury always banging on about how much he loves Morecambe Bay and the town itself, and about how he has more money than he could ever spend??
Well, surely investing in Morecambe FC and saving the towns club would have been a better use of his money rather than make £1million bets about whether Jake Paul knocks out AJ.
Turn it into a Netflix documentary and who knows what might happen.
Got upgraded at Cincinnati airport for a flight down to Florida...only to find myself next to Ringo Starr. We talked all things drumming, I taught him a few things and we parted ways.
People call it as they see it. You are in the minority of one. How you can watch that and think it was okay is beyond me and everyone else here…but you are entitled to your opinion as bizarre as it is. Just don’t start calling people keyboard warriors when they see it differently.
I’ll reserve my comments on Oxford until after the game but based on recent form how do you think it’s going to go?
So you start this post with “I’ll be in the minority of one”….knowing full well that you are likely to be the only person in the entire crowd that thought that this absolutely awful pile of sh*te game of football was actually okay….and then when everyone quite rightly points out that you must be either deluded or Stevie Wonder….you call them keyboard warriors!?!?!?
I’ve read some toilet on here over the years but take a bow son!
You did watch the game yes?? He makes the same mistakes week in week out regardless of whether we've won or not. It's just that the teams we've beaten didn't punish those mistakes. He was awful in the first half and was responsible for the nail in the coffin 4th, both for letting his man run in behind, and then having his arm waving up in the air to handle the cross. He clearly thinks he's better on the ball than he actually is. What he actually is, is a liability. Had he been hooked (with a couple of others) at half time like he should have been it could well have been a different outcome. Saito is also a waste of time and playing one in front of the other is asking for trouble.
My dad passed away in Feb 2024, 97 years old, lifelong Rangers fan, and who spawned 4 generations of QPR fans (including himself), and the club were brilliant in getting his pic on the video yesterday, making an announcement before the game and at half time, and putting a piece in the programme.
This is why I love this club. A proper club, who care about the people who care about them.
Anything to get Madsen out of the starting 11. He literally offers nothing. Doesn't tackle, doesn't win headers, doesn't track back...generally hides. Yes, given 20 yards of room he can spray a pass 30 yards out to the wings...but so can I at 58 years old!
