Even Mo Eisa, I believe he may have been at MK with Watson too. I saw his name on the PFA training list, he’s been abroad by the looks off it, hes also 32 so could be a good experienced back up.

I have the new sky box, it was right there on the live events tab for me (tbf I have set sky sports as my favourite channels). Coverage was decent, only one commentator, he did a decent job. Only nit pick with his commentary was that he made ut sound like we’ve been out of the league for 10 years aha. On the game itself, we need a hard nosed cdm and pace at cb. Couple of silly mistakes that lead to their goals but we controlled the game quite well without carving out enough chances. Hayes on another day could off got a penalty and a few more free kicks in dangerous areas too, he was been butchered all game
The trailists i believe were Zaid Betteka, hes from Birmingham City. He played on right. the other was also i beleive is Zain Silcott Duberry (ex Bournemouth, Olympiakoas and sheff Wed). i thought Zain looked like a footballer, tall,athletic, long stride, bit gangly but looks promising, didnt see much of the ball mind but had one run that looked good. Zaid (if thats who it is) looked like NLN player to me, talented but not physically there. The other is the keeper from Wigan, who has been around all pre season.
Also with a bit of digging Ive found that young Bradley the yt is son of Danny Coid. And Israel is from Stockport, i believe.
He’s 28 and played a handful of games in NL, no thanks. He maybe a good player and all, but no. Watson can take a 23 year old from NLN and his old team as a gamble but anymore I’d be questioning our ability to compete.
I don’t want to go political because this is a football forum however, you will probably find the reason why they have to declare that sort off stuff now is because the far right are waiting to riot at any moment with daddy Nigel’s mob and Tommys mob, as we’ve seen multiple times they pounce on any opportunity to cause more distress and violence. It’s the sad state of the world now, where we have let social media become unchecked power, it is a sest pit and no one has the balls to fix it. But back to the game, Jude Bellingham is simply incredible, I don’t think we’ll ever play how we think we can play this competition the conditions are against us and are wingers just haven’t clicked, and we don’t have any other out and out wingers right now. I’d have loved Ngumoha out there but his time will come. There are shades of Real Madrid in the champs league about us, lots of furore about performance but suddenly there in a semi final without leaving 3rd gear. We should have to much for the Argies if the officials behave themselves
Nice to get Newport away over and done with and hopefully in the sun too, early kick off is a killer though. Decent set of fixtures in all, a good start, Oldham at home in Sept should draw a big crowd too
The gym will be used by the first team and youth teams and will be made available to fans or members id guess and it would allow the club to say appoint a Pilates coach, who could then also work in the gym, outside club time allowing the club to justify to appointment financially, that’s just one small example. The club are clearly looking at the out going costs, the pitch, the ground itself, the training facilities cost and want to bring it down and create financial possibilities. I personally think it looks fantastic, not to big to be extortionate but not to small to look like a portacabin in a field. I thought there would be more about the it being self efficient with green power etc maybe that will come.
I believe and I may be wrong, but doesn’t the new manager play a 433? If we does we need a lb, a rb as Tobi may not be the guy for a 4 as well at least 3 wingers then you add the goalkeeper situation in to. I’m not Rodney’s biggest fan but he may do well in this new system floating on the left but we are crying out for pace, even an Odoh like player would help with that. Midfield picks itself with east gilmour and Francis, it’s a strong possession based midfield.
Any Ireland based fans now anymore about Damien Duff? He was in the running for Salford and his accomplishments seem hard to argue for a small club in Ireland. Interesting interview here with a Brian Kerr on Irish tv, frantic football sounds fun 😅
I’ve been looking through Salfords next manager odds to try and get an idea who’s out there, one that stood out and is available is Damien Duff if we went down the inexperienced route, he’s done well over in Ireland, fans were shocked when he left and loved localish. Not to say I want him but he’s certainly more appealing than a Darren Ferguson, Pete Wild type
If they were all to leave, I dont see any ready made manager there within the club. People will cry Hendo, but hes not coached let alone managed, and whos to say that he wants that. Would we go after Garrard at Boreham Wood? Or look at our bigger neighbours and there youth coaches, hopefully not another Eyre. Or woud we all want a solid league 2 manager, in a Robinson or someone of that nature? Personally, id would try to Garrard but hes never played or lived outside of London so would he do it? On Jim leaving. Im personally torn, he got us promoted and i will be forever grateful for that but my god, we didnt half bottle it a few times under his stewardship and the football at times was turgid, but he got us promoted and only 2 other people have done, so if he does stays fairplay to him but i think it could be a blessing for both parties.
Do we think, we could potentially lure Moulden back? His career has seriously stagnated, he’ll be picking up a decent wage but surely he should look to be playing? On who stays and goes. Hendo can have whatever he wants in my eyes. Barlow is definitely league 2 ready, Gordon is a must, maybe keeping his brother till January would help too, Pritchard is interesting cos Hannat is a similar player it all depends on what he’ll want, I’m sure Accy or Barrow will be sniffing around him too. The rest can go and get 3 or 4 of real league quality and a couple of youngsters . A big young cb for EEL to mentor. The key for us will be pace, we currently have none, and we’ll be destroyed. Watching the youth cup final last night probably out of our range but Heskey has some real pace and Samba impressed me too. But Jim’s overall recruitment has been outstanding it’s his mid season pick ups that haven’t been as good but there not allowed in EFL so it will need carefully planning
