It wasn’t even a full gate…

Half a gate open the other half lazily left in position.l

Please post any club response… I guess there will be no repeat as the Oldham game is past.

Still really poor judgement needs reviewing.

Kettling is Never a good idea especially with the demographic of our fan base. Older and younger the point regarding trampling is a good one.

Whoever thought last season that it’s a good idea is obviously still in the same decision making role that is a worry.

Stewards would not even let an elderly chap use the toilet under the stand. Obviously customer service stops at the full time whistle.

Not good. Not good at all.

Really!!

Oldham should really take a look at its own town and read the papers regarding their own grooming gangs.

Absolutely delighted with the result and back to back clean sheet.

Working progress there is still a lot to still get right.

How Ramming thinks a Cruyff turn on his own 6 yard line is acceptable is a mystery. Practice practice practice and play the ball much quicker. Probably 10 or more times yesterday eventually kicked the ball as it brushed the laces of the on rushing Oldham player.

Flint had a shocker for 20 minutes.. then grew into the game and finished strong.

In my eyes we still look miles off.. and that might be a good thing if we are no where near our potential ceiling combined with week on week improvement.

Dale started well and looked to have a plan and some structure and some legs.. 15 minutes until half time though was a difficult watch as the plan unravelled probably as Oldham reshaped themselves. Individually we have some good players. I would just like to see an extended period of building pressure from both the left AND the right and of course centrally.

We have just won bragging rights and do seem to be heading in a better direction even though we will not get that same amount of luck / opponent incompetence every week.

We have the ridiculous charade of wanding and patting (turn around - I want to pat you some more) on games with limited away fans present….

Tomorrow (sorry Saturday) has the potential to be chaos. I would encourage all fans to be in the ground in good time and the club to have rock solid plans to ease congestion on entry.

Appreciate this is the high profile game of the season so hoping stewards increase their levels of common sense as much as I will raise my patience level.

Encouraging result but the performance still leaves questions unanswered.

The commitment and organization in defense was there for us to see but on another day Walsall take a few of the chances they created (we allowed?) and more pressure builds.

Another leap forward and a battling character filled performance on Saturday v Oldham will go a long way in settling my nerves.

Not great by a long shot but a few green shoots.

After 5 games Newport and Crawley have one win each.

Both against Dale… both looked streets ahead of us.

So Newport and Crawley who looked far better than Dale occupying 20th and 21st place.

We are in trouble.. Walsall away and then Oldham at home.. we will need something new from the management team and players or we will be 7 games in with only 3 points.

No reason why we cannot kick on now in our first season back in the EFL. .

We got our first glimpse of what this group of players are capable of.

The difference between our last home game (Crawley) and Tuesdays performance was night and day. I left Spotland on Tuesday night with new found positivity, certainly we are heading in the right direction.

Another jump forward would be nice. I guess we have not hit our ceiling of performance yet and that offers more encouragement.

As somebody else posted THE Template for performance for the next 42 games.

In a night of players stepping up.. Moss and Adeeko for me looked like they made the biggest impact.

Dan Moss - the one thing we know we get from him is 100% every time he plays.

Its been a horrible August.. it could easily get worse on Saturday so all the strength and reserves we have as supporters are required.

We have yet to play a game when we conceded less than 2 goals. Pre season, Cup games and the two league games. This needs fixing quickly because there will be only rare occasions we will score 3 or more.

Its over to IW / CM and the players to learn and step up quickly so we can start to be competitive and pick up our first points.
