Not sure about Nardi
Played 8 games all of last season including 5 league games
Not played more than 30 in a season for last 4 years
Is it a Gemini AI algorithms selection? How can it tell if he played so few games if he’s any good? Clean sheets, shot stopping, aerial flap, ball to feet?
We are still picking up players from the others’ bench. And if he is going to be number 1 what about Walsh?
I want to be positive but the above does not inspire

Goal given or not it would still be correct decision, however
The critical point for me is that if the offside opponent is within the goal mouth, goal should be disallowed, keeper tried to save or not notwithstanding
Dumfries was in an offside position within the goal mouth, that his proximity to goal (not the goalkeeper - but he was near enough anyway) should be interpreted as interference as the shooter might take aim at goal to avoid him |

What’s the difference if the club terminates and pays him off now or if he runs down his contract squeezing every penny?
The club cannot contractually nor legally do this? Backlash from PFA? Needs mutual consent?
Or the club hopes he could come good? (Or he thinks he could make a comeback?) |

It is not compatible just comparing the age
Do we know if Ferdinand at 20-21 years of age was he any good at tapping the ball, had scoring instinct, or not being offside all the time? (These are constant moan about Armstrong). Both had the power and strength at the same age? (Athleticism is Armstrong trait - or as someone says an athlete with boots on)
Is Ferdinand scoring regularly in non league with Hayes? Wiki says 19 goals in 33. Don’t think Armstrong is a scoring teenage sensation. Wiki says 7 games 0 goals for Shamrock Rovers/II teams. But they were different ages, sir Les around age 20-21, Sinclair 17-19
Ferdinand had to fight with the likes of Gary Bannister, John Byrne, Mark Falco, Trevor Francis, Andy Sinton, Roy Wegerle in his early years at QPR

The official site has no interview quotes from Armstrong about his contract extension, only the usual Nourry speak.
Pretty unusual as for the others there is a short quote of telling us how over the moon they were
Is this a breakdown in negotiation for a longer deal? He is not as happy?
One of a few things
- longer contract not attractive to the player, wants more (£)?
- he didn’t sign what’s on offer, so club triggered the one year option so they won’t lose him on a free
- does that mean the club values him but he (or agent) has a inflated valuation of his current worth? |

Errrr, it’s like saying Usain Bolt has to have his whole body past the second place runner in order to win the race? 🤔
Isn’t it for calling offside, it’s the closest part of the body that is towards the goal than your opponent(s) when the ball is played forward, be that even a finger nail 😂
As for the ball to be out of play or a goal to be counted, whole of ball needs to cross the whole of the line, I think |

As he is in talk with the club with interest elsewhere seems to suggest our offer is much reduced and it may be a back up keeper situation, that’s why he has not signed
Both the club and Begovic are keeping their options open, naturally
Why would we not if we are still looking for a “cheaper” and “better” candidate with experience? |

Begovic did contributed to our defence but not sure he kept us up, not individually surely but collectively yes he played a part
However, like some suggested, he was also error prone and those mistakes literally cost us some points and hearts-in-mouths moment and sleepless nights, the most talked about his flap at Plymouth.
However still, he redeemed himself with 2 crucial performances against Preston and Leeds when we went down the wire
Fact is that he blew hot and cold and fact is also we were in a relegation scrap most of the season and most of our players were blowing hot and cold - chair, dunno, cannon, colback, dykes, willock and even Andersen etc, and if our keeper is the best player he would be gone in January transfer windo
Suggestions that he is negotiating an extension reminds me that
1. The club think Walsh isn’t ready to step up and/or
2. The club think Walsh should be “gently” introduced to the first team set up and/or
3. The club think Begovic still may have something to offer and/or
4. The club cannot find a replacement that is “better” and “cheaper”
Surely if there is no suitable replacement and if they think Walsh isn’t ready yet they won’t compromise the situation by just letting Begovic go when his contract expires |

Season tickets, kits release and players release yes, but last season there was a massive undercurrent of the fear of impending struggle and relegation was almost nailed on for many even before a ball was kicked in the first preseason friendly.
But somehow it is totally different this season. You can feel an air of hopefulness of an exciting season ahead, mixed with a nervous breath of what our player acquisition will be like and a few getting edgy if Marti gonna be poached.
But overall it’s positive vibes, and yes to many this sea of calm is unbecoming of our club, what’s the hell happening and so far that it feels wrong to be right…..? [Post edited 29 May 14:16]

It is important to note Eze had his watershed year at QPR, we are the club that got him in after a few rejections from other clubs and polished him to a point where he went on to do bigger things
That is a connection not to be understated. Fact that the fans and the player have a genuine connection speaks volumes. He still is and will always be a special player to QPR. [Post edited 29 May 12:46]
