It is the gamble players take when running down contracts, better to take a new one with a release clause set at a low threshold sometimes, and make sure your insurance will do a job for you.

All the activity of NHS England will be transferred to the Department of Heath, if Streeting reduces the number of strategic health authorities to around a dozen, England will have the same structure as 20 years ago.

I'm particularly impressed by those who say we are paying too much for our debt interest then advocate borrowing more!

Cuts on the way, the tax take projections will highlight the impact of the last budget.

Mick Lynch did the train drivers no good, he talked about class war and smashing the Government which was food and drink to the press who quickly pointed out equally deserving causes in other industries such as nursing.
Your point about the legal responsibilities of directors is interesting. I worked in a regulated industry with a legal framework for about 16 years. I knew that breaking the law would be the end of my job.
The governance arrangements for utilities are too weak. They need to be revisited, people should have proper accountability for their roles in critical industries. I think utility bosses are beginning to be held to account in parts of the press, which is the job of the press in a liberal democracy, rather than chasing clicks and viewer numbers with eye catching stories of no real consequence.
Have a look at the front pages of any news outlet and you will see stories that are just click bait.

It would be nice to honour some people for past efforts while they are still here.
50 year anniversaries are an option, get some old VTs up on the big screen at half time and get Kev Johns to do some interviews and celebrate some people in their 70s and 80s while they are still here

A lot of outcomes relate to corporate governance and the morals of the executive. He's a conversation you won't have today.
I joined a ftse100 Company in the late 80s. All new joiners got to have lunch with the CEO. What I remember him saying is that as CEO you have to be a paragon of virtue, in what you think, say and do and remember that your job is that of a custodian and to leave things in better shape than when you joined.
He was an old soldier, been through it all in WW2 apparently, he was excellent and things quickly drifted off course when he left, his successor left under a cloud after 18 months for dubious financial practice.

I don't think an academy is a private school, rather they remain state funded but free of local authority control.

Kendall said yesterday 10 percent of the workforce in the UK is on benefits and in some areas the rate was fout times that. So 40 percent of workforce is on benefits in some areas.

Most money goes onto war zones, both Democrats and Republicans now seem to accept that governance has been poor; there is lack of oversight with respect to where the money went or how it was spent.

It'll be interesting to see what the real issues are, I guess the tax take has not increased as planned because the of the last budget.
