Interesting interview. Seems like a really likeable bloke and also seems very considered and intelligent.
Really happy he finally got his first QPR goal and as he said his first Championship goal - you can tell that also meant something to him.

Overrated: RHCP - all their songs sound alike to me.
Ed Sheeran - seems like a nice bloke but don’t get the broad appeal.
Underrated: Janelle Monae. Very inventive artist

I work in the drinks industry, there was a big push last year to try to raise the profile of the plight of pubs. It’s a real shame. The stat last year was one a day closing.
I’d also add, as the costs have crept up, younger people just don’t get on it as much anymore. They say those in their 40s are the last generation of big drinkers.
And if you look at the proliferation of gyms on the high street, I think they’ve also contributed socially and culturally by silently usurping the pub as a meeting place, I actually think they’re the modern day equivalent of a night club as depressing as that may sound to some. I’m a couple of drinks in so apologies in advance but I was enjoying an evening with the missus watching TV when I saw the news regarding Adel Taarabt retiring and wanted to post something.
I’m 45, have had a season ticket for nearly 20 years, and as such am not old enough to have truly appreciated Marsh, Bowles, Stainrod, or even Wegerle, although he and Paul Parker were my first QPR heroes.
But thinking about Taarabt hanging up his nutmegs (he prefers them), I doubt that, in my lifetime, I will ever see a player as gifted as Adel wear the blue and white hoops of QPR. It’ll take some beating.
I know the band got broken up when we got promoted, but thanks, Adel. What a player you were.
Look forward to his Forever R’s induction.

Really felt for RK today he looked well off it and his confidence is shot.
Even if it’s not the case, the technical level of the game today just looked above him. I really hope that’s not true as I really like him.
Perhaps we are allowed nice things, but only in small amounts, because Burrell is looking better and better. Know he didn’t score today but to my uneducated eyes his all round game has improved. |

For me, no. We just need Burrell and Kone to get one each and I think they’ll be up and running.
And two raw understudies works for me. Kolli - might be best for all that he’s moved on, which is a shame, he’s a great finisher
It does feel like Burrell is getting there - great assist yesterday.
Kone needs one off his arse to get his confidence up and hopefully he’ll be back to beating up the oppos centre halves. He looks a little bereft and a yard off it at the moment. Is he still recovering from a knock? |

It’s weird, I’d almost forgotten it was Edwards playing there. A centre half by trade, braking up play and popping the ball about, often forwards, he didn’t put a foot wrong.
A fit JCS, and Edwards pushed ahead, a nice problem to have. |
