It’s just a bit silly though.

He’s not playing the IDF. He’s playing a football team. Would Bazunu shake Peretz’s hand or is he too Israeli for him?

I am currently trying to learn a bit of German (with the hope of reading German poetry) so I’m sure a bit of Russian to read their prose and verse simultaneously won’t hurt.

Was thinking fast and slow any good - I just bought it on Kindle sale.

Going through:

- Why Orwell Matters by Christopher Hitchens (currently about half way through)

Decent but he seemed to be using it as a debunking or attack on others’ view of Orwell. Yet to fully understand why he’s so important in his own view; saying this I have my own admiration for Orwell’s prose style.


On a different note, has anyone read The Price of Football by Kieran Maguire (?). I need a fun lax read. I was thinking Simon Jordan’s upcoming book.

He’s gone way beyond the mark of cheating… he should’ve done it 24 hours earlier when it was perfectly legal.

Harris says Southampton Football Club has been punished enough but Tonda deserves a big ban. Does he not realise a ban for Tonda is expensive to Saints? We’d need to spend on a new manager and have our entire season disrupted, again.

Ah, I just went in there from the start of last season for a bit of a laugh. I’ve never had a ST in the Northam and didn’t want to start; chose instead, along with my mate and his dad, the part of the ground furthest away from their rubbish. There must’ve been about 8 standing at the start (barely any signing other than certain parts of the game and we were told to sit down at some points).

Wanted to sing old songs to continue my knack of being called a grandad at the age of 22. Don’t really care how many come in as long as they aren’t cringe and obsessed with dodgy Northam banter.

It was obvious Mubama was not the build of player we needed. We let Stewart go and didn’t replace him. A cheap loanee with 5 goals ever. Now we need to wait months to have a decent backup striker.

Whoever made that decision deserves this.

Subs killed us. Our new attacking signings are major downgrades. Don’t get me started on the change to 5atb.

Wellington isn’t as good going forward but knows how to defend - as soon as that numpty Manning comes on, his positioning is atrocious and is a major weakness.

It’s funny how he had a club which celebrated his coming onto the pitch, where he had enjoyed a decent half of the season.

Yet he keeps flipping leaving. Every five minutes he’s off - should’ve stayed put. Again.

He only played half the season - the half of the season where we went on that 20+ game unbeaten run, beating Arsenal, with Stewart being a main part of our play
