At first I thought this was not a red. But even if you get the ball first, you can still get a red if it's high or reckless.
Cirkin overplays the ball and then slides his foot toward it, which is played into the PNE player. It seems just a clash of legs after the ball has been played.
However, in slow motion, you can see the studs are up on the follow-through of that play/tackle. It's a nasty tackle.

You can now see he went full studs in. It's a Red because of that.
He's onside, but that's because the defender tried to play him off way too late. Also, there are two of them, so there is no need to do that.
In addition, Celar almost misses it by playing it too far ahead of himself.
He was always a decent finisher, but you won't even get that sort of lame defending in the Champ, where it's a low block, he doesn't have Burrel's pace, cannot hold the ball up, and isn't a header of the ball.

I would argue that today, with all this side passing, he would still get his 19 goals a season in the Champ. We signed players who were not ready in Cirkin and Lampty; they needed time to get fit. The injury to Kemper brought Lampty in way too early, as they originally said after the break. So, to be fair it was forced upon them. Keeping JCS fit has been a miracle, but of course, every week is another miracle as it's early days.
However, on the other hand, they totally rested Chair and Kone (not even brought on as subs), only for them to get injured in the next game. So, that was pointless resting them.
So, really, overall, it's no big change from last year, from what I can see. The only upside is that we have a better balanced squad, as we it seems we need it!
I actually think it's good news; he was dealt a terrible transfer window there and had to polish a well-known stinky turd.
I am not sure anyone else can turn it around, even if they get someone in tomorrow. Also, the players know this too. They fecked up too many windows, and they know it.

Assuming it all blows over, Chair style, then he will probably sign for any top-tier club that has not allocated all their 25-man squads yet. I think these clubs still have spaces: Newcastle, Spurs, Fulham and West Ham.

It sounds like Lampty and Kamara won't start. So, that means Cirkin comes in, with I would suspect Edwards in the middle, with JCS back in at the back.
I suspect he'll play Burrell all the way up until the break. Saito was poor, so we can expect Chair to be back in, and I suspect Smyth will be back in as well for Vale.
