Mikkel Beck -- won us absolute fortunes in the bookie kiosk and was gutted we were only seen as a short stop to get himself back to fitness.

For one that I was surprised didn't catch fire - going further back.... Paul Walsh.... if ever there was a player suited to QPR (at the time) it was him.

The other one's wjo were loanees and made perm already mentioned.

A list of worst ever would be substantial but Bob Malcolm, Priskin and Marcus Bent would feature very highly

In big agreement with OP

I'm not 100% sure I'm right here but it's now over a calendar year that we've turned around being behind at HT into a win at FT - stress that - "a win".
Last one that jumped at me was Brizzle City away start of October 2025.

Grinds my gears that you know, all things being equal, we will change two players on the hour mark of every game - no matter the scoreline, pattern of play etc.
How can that be right?

I see above chat of sticking with a winning team after a 5-0 win which you can't argue against. What I would agree with though is change the system to suit and don't just expect that 4-4-2 you happened across / planned worked for a specific fixture will continue to do so.

Loads of football managers seem to suffer from intransigence and I just don't get it.
The best of them are flexible whilst also balancing the proactive with the reactive.
In game management and tactical flexability is key.

The continual selection of Vale is a mystery to me no matter what the injury situation and smacks again of intransigence.

Sadly I can see the season petering out now and the focus and shouts will all be about fitness and injuries. That is totally right but lets not also forget some absolute howlers along the way by the laptop lovers on the bench.
I'm absolutely NOT saying pitchforks and burning effigies are needed as I do still think the coaching staff are doing okay to have us top half against the backdrop of player availability. However, we've dropped (at least) 8 points and even if we'd nabbed 4 of them things would be much, much rosier - I think that 4 were achieveable with a bit more in game activity and tactical switches.

Really, really hope we can get that possession + win stat off of our backs on Saturday.

Can you clarify…… did you think Chair changed the game in a positive or negative way?

I’ve been in The Chair Supporters Club for the whole of his career here but that was an awful 35 minutes from him.
His passing was as atrocious as his team mates around him.
Looked proper leggy, you could see his brain always wanting to do that cut inside and unleash the shot but body uncoordinated and half a yard off it.
First touch worryingly poor.

Hopefully he can play his way back into form as its got to be him above Harvey Fail everyday of the week and twice on a Sunday

Not seeing it.
Offers very little.
His positioning and awareness defensively is all over the shop.
Going forward he’s slow and gives the ball away every other pass.

That would be a first.

Been 13 months since we’ve turned a halftime deficit around to a win I think.
1-0 down to Bristol City and then Kone / Smyth robbed us a win in the second half.

I see nothing out there tonight to suggest anything other than a mixed bag season and a struggle through the tough winter months.
So far at least.

Finished off Slow Horses Season 6 last night - brilliant as usual.

Gary Oldman steals every single scene he is in and does so effortlessly.
No spoilers but was sad to see one of the current cast disposed of in the last episode.

Related obviously to the show per se but I don't see Jack Lowden as the next James Bond; my choice for that would be Theo James (the gorgeous b'stard that he is).

Back to Slow Hourse - delighted to see there is alreadya Season 7 done and being cut together for release soon.
