Clive, this is one of your best previews ever. You cover all the fickleness and the fervour of football fans.- (Late Night Final - Alliteration United 4 - Wanderers 0)- with a surgeon's scalpel.
You manage to write prose through an incredibly wide range - from Messrs Shakespeare and Dickens to Milligan and Cleese - and it still makes total sense.
You can guess the number of times that I've asked myself`:- "Why do we bother, Fawlty?" after what I've witnessed happening in W12 since 1962.
It's no bullshit to say that, on occasions, I'm still turning up at Loftus Road - expecting to be royally disappointed at what I witness - and after achieving that aim and I then go home afterwards, dribbling in anticipation oi your comments to be published on LFW.
The only things that keeps me joined at the kneecaps to the club are your previews and your match reports.
You must carry on doing this because it's a passion for you. Just like everyone else who is an R's supporter, you are blessed by St Jude, the patron saint of of lost causes.
If you got paid for writing them , they wouldn't be as good - once you take the King's shilling, you have to bend the knee, so they'd lose their cutting edge.

Has to be Barton for me, no one else comes close.
The antithesis of what a QPR player is about. He is a cheating, violent, wife beating, big headed gob shyte Scouser, and there's plenty of them around London, SW3 and SW10 in particular - without importing them from Liverpool.
Its' all down to Uncle Tony, as a chairman, it was like have Trump in charge of a Premier team, all money, probably other peoples too, but brain dead with it.
