Clive, this is one of your best previews ever. You cover all the fickleness and the fervour of football fans.- (Late Night Final - Alliteration United 4 - Wanderers 0)- with a surgeon's scalpel.

You manage to write prose through an incredibly wide range - from Messrs Shakespeare and Dickens to Milligan and Cleese - and it still makes total sense.

You can guess the number of times that I've asked myself`:- "Why do we bother, Fawlty?" after what I've witnessed in W12 since 1962.

It's no bullshit to say that I'm still turning up at Loftus on occasions - expecting to be royally disappointed at what I witness - and go home afterwards, dribbling for your comments to be published on LFW.

The only things that keeps me joined at the kneecaps to the club are your previews and your match reports.
