Doesn't this make it a little hard to foster a player development model if you're never going to actually start your younger players? I'm not sure what better opportunities you have than where there's a bunch of injuries and you're at home to a team that's lost 6 out of 7 to start the season? |

3 people in the booth, one replay, if they agree it's overturned if they don't call stands. Get the obviously wrong ones corrected, let the rest stand. None of this toenail nonsense. 20 seconds max, done. Get back to the game.
The problem with VAR is that we started pushing this as the solution to all wrong decisions in a game that by its nature is incredibly subjective so that's impossible. |

It's a really weird one.
He definitely loses control of the ball, no doubt
He definitely lunges in with a high foot studs up
I would maintain he gets the ball (you can see the direction change)
His studs don't actual touch the Preston played, at all, it's the follow through
The player flops around like a fish out of water and makes the most of it
Honestly I think it's an eye of the beholder thing, it wouldn't get overturned either way |

We'll look back on this one at the end of the season either way and point to it as showing the signs. Either as an example of it resilient spirit which ultimately pushed us up the take, or as an example of how we couldn't kill off a poor side and got in our own way |

Disagree. Absolute textbook and I'd bet that's exactly what he intended (even if he was probably a bit surprised that it actually came off perfectly. Left foot curving away from the keeper, unstoppable. |

Definitely gets the ball you can see it from that angle it changes direction. But he's arguably out of control at which point getting ball first doesn't matter. At minimum, silly to give the ref the option, we'd certainly have been asking for a red if it was the other way round |
