Cirkin kicked the ball into the players leg so he can’t have been that late and then his follow through, which looked high, catches the PNE player.
I’ve only seen one angle but have watched multiple times, from what I’ve seen it’s a clear red. Other angles might show something different. |

Was the PNE player late or did Cirkin get there first because he recklessly flew into the ‘tackle’ hence why he couldn’t control the follow through into the PNE player?
I get why some think it’s not a red, but for me it is, it’s out of control and could have seriously injured his opponent. [Post edited 19 Sep 20:48]

He flew into his attempt to recover the ball from his poor touch in a reckless manner with excessive force, it’s a red card. |

Seems a waste of perfectly decent clothing, couldn’t they have taken the opportunity to send some/all of the profits to a related cause. It’s an honest mistake, would be a pr win for Oxford & beneficial for victims too. |

From the replay I’ve seen it looked quite clearly offside, but either way Jones is not the full ticket! |

He had to play pretty much every minute last season because he was available when others weren’t, at times he was heavily strapped and looked in need of a rest but played on anyway because he was all we had, hence my flogged to death comment. Nothing to do with his running style.
He picked up an injury in pre-season that he appears to still be struggling with.
This is the first time he’s not been available and the first time he’s struggled for form, and how do some of the ‘supporters’ treat him?
His availability last season has been long forgotten, no credit in the bank apparently.
His goals and performances last season have also been long forgotten, again no credit in the bank.
It wasn’t long ago we had Dykes & Bonne, now we have Burrell & Kone who are both far better and yet people still aren’t happy and need a boo boy. I guess some thrive off being miserable. |

Seriously though, he got flogged to death last season then picked up an injury in pre-season, he clearly isn’t fit and lacking confidence/form to go with it, but he’s shown what he can do in the past so he’ll come good again. |

Sorry but you can’t be putting something out in public and then complain about hurt feelings & mental health when people don’t like it. Joe Public isn’t there to massage egos, if you’re willing to take the exposure you have to have a thick skin if it doesn’t go as planned. The reaction was predictable. It’s a sh*t situation for them & doesn’t excuse nastiness but they should’ve been prepared for this. |

£13m with £9m in add-ons is more reasonable, but still a lot for a player that’s never done a lot.
He was always available for us which is more than Laird, Roberts etc could say.
The current premier league market is insane, no doubt driven by the wonderfully successful FFP or whatever it’s called now. Bang average players going for £50m+, half-decent players being sold for £100m+, mind blowing really. |

If JCS had left this summer at the end of his contract no one would’ve been too fussed. The majority would’ve viewed him as a good player when fit but not available often enough & on a good wage so not a major loss.
Now we’ve allegedly got people offering money the sentiment is different and we should keep him?
I like him as a player and he seems a decent bloke too, but if money is on the table are we really in a position to keep him and gamble on him staying fit, I’d say not. Take the money & reduce the wage bill. |
