First game I've seen this season. Is this a thing: Sinclair not being able to put a cross in with his left? So easy to defend against, my son compared him to Arjen Robben (for left read right in his case). The only time he was effective was when he combined with Keohane; and that was done with his right as well |

Bump? They record 1800 Sunday typically. So if you're interested, let me know before the 13th |

A friend of mine runs the Sutton United podcast and would like a Rochdale fan to preview the upcoming Rochdale match. Would anybody here be interested? DM me if so Morden |

Actually, if you squint, the badge design behind him looks a bit like a spoon coming out of a football shirt |

Ha ha fantastic I remember the Magic Trumpet tune but funnily enough I don't remember it in association with Sunday afternoon football. Memory eh? On a separate note, that's another tune I know which I've only discovered was by Herb Alpert. The only ones I thought I knew were Spanish Flea and that abomination Rise. Then years later I find out he made famous recordings of Casino Royale, Tijuana Taxi, So What's New, A Taste Of Honey (Herb Alpert version 🙂) - all songs I knew, but didn't know they were by him Wasn't Tijuana Taxi an It's A Knockout theme tune? |

Do you? It's my memory that there wasn't one, at least in the Granada area. All there was by way of an introduction was silence, while a caption 'Football' was displayed on screen. n contrast, The Big Match from London Weekend got a proper theme tune and a much more professional presentation all round. The second match usually featured a North-West team playing in the capital with Brian Moore commentating. If not, then a game from the Midlands with Hugh Johns |

Gah! The one away game I had picked out last year for a long-distance visit was Ipswich - cancelled due to Covid. This year Ipswich away is the 3rd game when still nobody will be allowed in |

Particularly if lesser squad members of the top 2 divisions (not to mention the Checkatrade Under-23s) can earn more than the League One cap. On a separate point: I understand that parachute payments are to cover a club's higher paid contracted players, but these players are to my mind no great advantage. After all, they got the club relegated. The better ones would be hoovered up by clubs in the division they just left and if the club wasn't then allowed to hire at rates above the salary cap, well then that would equalise things a lot more |
