As said before the pathway to becoming a regular 1st team squad member surely has to be a decent playing loan at National League or above for starters which as a club we still have poor results at. How many of those released players have had decent loans spells if any?
Injured last season so didn’t get a chance to progress: hopefully the plan is a League One or Two loan next season which will give him a chance to shine. Would expect a one year contract with a QPR option of a second year: if he does well on loan then get him into first team squad and new contract: if he doesn’t push on then he leaves at end of next season.
Low cost gamble to me and worth taking as forwards aren’t cheap to buy so try hard to develop your own if possible.
I’ve gone for Italy ahead of Spain and France but expect Switzerland to win ahead of Croatia who will win the public vote but not the juries. Greek girl was great, song not so good.
Premier League will be delighted: they managed to show how tough they were with their FFP ‘punishments, and the bigger teams still stayed up. Forest and Everton must be laughing and planning to overspend again: no reason not to. Perhaps as well as points deductions they should add transfer window bans for the following summer, and also make it clear that any future breaches will lead to an immediate points deduction twice the size of their previous punishment.
Luton and Sheffield United didn’t spend Premier League sized transfer money so we’re almost guaranteed to go down: Burnley did spend big so have badly underperformed I think.
Yeah you’re right it is Goodman: both rubbish. Game gone to penalties: Doncaster fans will be gutted if they end up losing after winning the first leg 2 nil away.
Not Championship playoff but Andy feckin Hinchcliffe co-commenting on Doncaster v Crewe is as usual abysmal. “Doncaster need to do something to get their fans off their feet” And of course his usual benefit of hindsight/state the bleedin obvious BS throughout the game: “Well he made the wrong decision there: If he’d crossed it first time to his forward who controlled it and shot into the corner Doncaster would’ve scored and would’ve been back in this game!” “It’s a booking: he really shouldn’t have done that and will now have to avoid being booked for the remainder of the game otherwise he will be sent off”
Agreed about the loans: some on here are claiming a number of our young players like Aoraha are good enough to step up but it’s a massive step up without first team experience elsewhere. We’ve had players lent to non league clubs who can’t get in or stay in the team so what chance do they have with us.
