Possible recency bias, and still some incredulity at what transpired over the full 90 but I think this could be your best one yet. Goose bumps all over just reading it through. The noise. I can't remember anything like it.
I don't really gamble, but I had a tenner on an R's win at half time at 33-1. I thought the Madsen free kick was in. Until it wasn't.
This is why we go. This is why we don't follow anyone glamorous for the glory. That was worth all the pain. And we din't even win. |

I was right in line with that shot in the lower Loft - it was coming right at us and I was certain it was going in. Couldn't believe it when it bounced out - looked to hit the inside of the angle and somehow bounce out.
I like Vale - I don't think he's a central midfielder, but for me he's shown enough skill to suggest he can become a really important player for us - but he needs to play out wide in my view. |

Ha! I remember that. I was actually sat on the upper East Stand with my elder brother who is Chelsea (don’t ask). Pre match I was taking the mick out of Chelsea’s then current away kit which was a rather fetching ‘jade’ colour.
Then we ran out in that officially known as tangerine abomination. The p*ss taking was incessant. |

A poor reflection on society today but as soon as I saw this was 'a thing' I was saddened by what I assumed the course of events would be - namely, a couple of young lads do something they're proud of, put it in the public domain and then the internet does its thing.
Some of the comments on X are just horrendous and completely unnecessary.
Like it, loathe it, or feel indifference about it - but no need to have a go at the lads personally.
As someone far wiser than me once said, you can be anything in this world so why not be kind? |

Very interesting and balanced view of events. I've seen a number of things recently on the hellhole known as X essentially stating that if you don't think Nourry is the Messiah then you must be mentally ill.
I've not been a fan to date, primarily due to his lack of experience which plays out in his communication style and inability to admit mistakes.
However, I agree that the business done this summer does look good and does indicate lessons learned. If, in a couple of years, we are still on an upwards trajectory, I will delight in being I told I was completely wrong. Let's see - we definitely should win tonight, and I'm looking forward to it, but it's QPR innit! |

First time I've gone to the first away of the season for quite a while - very glad I did.
Great result and great atmosphere in the away end but my God was it hot in there at least for the first half.
After they scored it really did feel like deja vu but fair play to the team to turn it around like they did. Although we didn't score in the 2nd half, I thought we played some good stuff and Kamara really looks quality. Think that could turn out to be a great signing and the Kamara song - absolutely brilliant :)
Lots to enjoy but Pompey weren't all that and Vale is no central midfielder! Thought Ronnie did quite well in there and good to see JCS do the full 90.
Shame about Kemper's injury - hope it's not too bad. Adamson did well when he camo on I thought. Paul Smyth also gave it 100% as usual - great to have him as an option off the bench.

yea agree. I loved the Skids growing up but it was just a touch before my gig going days. I also finally got to see them last year (maybe the year before) supporting From the Jam. Enjoyed it a lot as they have some great tunes, but imagine what it would have been like to see the original line up. |

This is LFW at it's very best. Reasoned debate. Respectful. Well thought through positions and arguments.
I've just read the whole thread start to finish and found it very enlightening and enjoyable.
I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. I'm not a fan of Nourry and his style as I've said many times elsewhere, but I want him to succeed as that obviously means the club succeeds. I just wish he could find a more convincing way to communicate with the fanbase. A touch more authenticity wouldn't go amiss for starters. |
