No - the full BBC article says the following:

'The bans for Thiaw and the four players relate to Caf matches only and will not impact preparation for the World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.'

And decisions made quite quickly!! Premier League (Man City) and EFL (Leicester) should take note.

Lots of fines and bans issued for the final including 5 match ban for the Senegal manager, forwards Iliman Ndiaye and Sarr received two-match bans for "unsporting behaviour towards the referee", while the Senegal Football Federation (FSF) was fined a total of $615,000 (£444,000).

Morocco forward Ismael Saibari was given a three-match ban and fined $100,000 (£72,000), while defender Hakimi was handed a two-match ban, with one game suspended for 12 months.

A bid by Morocco's football federation (FRMF) to have the result of the match overturned after Senegal players left the pitch was dismissed by Caf's disciplinary committee.

The FSF (Senegal Federation) was fined $600,000 (£434,000) for breaches of Caf's disciplinary code, with half of that sum relating to the unsporting conduct of Senegal players and technical staff, while the other $300,000 was for the improper conduct of its supporters.

Several Teranga Lions fans were involved in angry confrontations with security staff after the penalty award, with some trying to enter the pitch.

A further $15,000 ($11,000) fine was imposed after Thiaw's side received five bookings during the final.

Meanwhile, the FRMF (Morrocan Federation) has been fined $200,000 (£144,000) for the "inappropriate behaviour" of ball boys at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, after repeated attempts to steal the towel of Senegal keeper Mendy from behind his goal.

A sum of $100,000 must be paid after Atlas Lions players and staff invaded the video assistant referee review area and obstructed referee Ndala's work, and the FRMF has also been fined $15,000 for use of lasers by its supporters.

Picked up an album and some additional sticker packs in my local Asda. Only one QPR player so far, Poku.

He needs a big sale or two of players that have joined the club on his watch, to show that the buy low/sell high approach is working.

He also needs to get on top of the injury issues, not deny we have an issue like they did after last season, and continued progression up the table.

Sky Live Games question
at 19:21 26 Jan 2026

This is from the EFL website:-

"Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be announced on a four-week rolling basis starting from February 1 (e.g. a selection for the first weekend in April will be selected in the first weekend in March).
Selections for matches scheduled for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be announced three weeks in advance.
Selections for matches scheduled for the final weekend of the regular season will be announced the week prior."

The current live TV games for Feb for QPR are Charlton, Hull and Southampton away

Yes, that statement reads like it was written by an actual person rather than some of the ChatGPT inspired stuff he normally puts out.

Four minutes of madness – Report
at 15:51 26 Jan 2026

Do the number of views of the match reports vary depending on whether we have won or lost? Or do away reports get more views than home matches?

I always read the reports irrespective of the results but wondered if overall numbers are affected by the result?

Four minutes of madness – Report
at 15:05 26 Jan 2026

By yesterday evening, I'd actually managed to get over the shock / disappointment of the last 5 mins. As soon as I read Clive's report, it all came flooding back.

Still worth a read though.

Agree but the problem is at the moment, with all our injuries, we need them for the first team/bench

He also argued with the assistant over a throw and dived trying to win a couple of free-kicks which the ref didn't give.

In circumstances like this, I would love the ref to explain why the player didn't get booked when others did for far less. Incompetence or bias?

Thought he did ok without the ball but everything he tried with the ball didn't come off. He wasn't the reason we lost.

Leicester fans think they are a bigger club than they actually are. They had a purple patch where they won the league and FA cup but are not big enough to compete with the big clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City etc.

They have half a squad who think they are premier league quality but in reality they are not.

Cifuentes' exit means Leicester are now looking for their sixth permanent boss since FA Cup-winning Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers was sacked in April 2023 - as Clive has said many times about QPR, if you keep changing the manager with little success, the problem isn't the manager.

Lots of people around me said we should be subbing Mbengue way before the sending off. You could just see the way the game was going and the way the ref was, that a 2nd yellow would appear at some point.

Think we only used 4 subs - aren't we allowed 5, so could have brought Edwards on for him when we subbed on Kolli/Bennie or when Field came on.

Agree with most of this apart from 'Those castigating Stéphan for not taking him off after the first booking are clearly just saying this with the massive benefit of hindsight.' Lots of people around me said we should be subbing Mbengue way before the sending off. You could just see the way the game was going and the way the ref was, that a 2nd yellow would appear at some point.

Could have made the change either when Kolli/Bennie came on or when Field came on.

I think Bannan often is a wnkr when he plays for the opposition, but he is one of those players that you would love to have in your own team.
