I think we are missing a strong leader as Captain. Cabango isn't the answer. It needs to be someone who is demanding the most from the players around him for the full 90+ minutes. I dont see Cabango doing that
Looking at yesterday's starting 11, there was only 2 players that weren't in the team last season. Burgess for Darling and Stamenic for Grimes. Grimes is now a starter for the team at the top of the table. If I was an owner what I'd be most annoyed about is that he is not utilising the best players in big games at home
It wasn't just Galbraith who was missing yesterday there was also Inoussa and Yalcouye. Playing at home against a relegated Prem side we should be playing our strongest 11. There is no game for 2 weeks now, they can't be that tired. We won't get bigger crowds by playing a second string side in the big home games and losing. And we won't be in the play offs unless we can win more consistently. 3 wins all against the bottom 3 isn't good enough. I'd give him 5 more games to see an improvement
Totally agree. They haven't spent that level of money to drift in mid-table. The return on investment comes from bigger crowds and at least play offs places. They maybe tempted by a bigger name.
Sheehan has been backed very heavily. We can't give that level of backing every season. We are in the same sort of position as we were last season. Why are we not starting with our best 11 in a game against Leicester that coukd have taken us into the top 6. Too early to replace him, but he doesn't get a free pass all season
Williams had got Notts County promoted and were in mid-table or higher when we took him on. He had been on the coaching staff here. It wasn't like he was a complete novice. It didn't work out for him in the end but up until the West Brom farce we were doing OK. What happened after that is anyone's guess but we went into free fall for whatever reason. But it wasn't that he was lucky to get given a job. It wasn't a Kevin Cullis situation
We aren't the only ones conceding goals in injury time. It's happening across the league. Quite possibly because injury time is now so long. It's close to 10 minutes most matches with as much as 5 more in the first half.
Man Utd There was an entire 20 year period where everyone and their dog was a Man U fan because they won things. Now they've all disappeared or become a City fan
Alli started going down hill during Covid. Lots of people's mental health took a battering during that period. It could be that he has long Covid. Either way it should still be a No
Vip has started scoring but let's not gloss over his short comings. The rest of the side are looking really strong with some depth. A really top striker could see us finish top 6 at least
Celtic are being linked with Kasper Dolberg as a replacement for Idah if we did sign him. Can't we just go for Dolberg ourselves? It's around the same price and his scoring record is far better
