Cabango and his astonishing handball loses the game for Swansea City
at 14:15 26 Jan 2026

When looking at the money we have spent,
The two centre backs were poor.
Inoussa is ok but not worth what we reportedly paid.
Idah, certainly not worth what we paid.
Yalcouye, OK but not worth a high loan fee.
Benson, not worth any amount.
What had looked like a great transfer window has turned out poorly for whatever reasons.

Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread
at 09:57 25 Jan 2026

I think Matos has done a great job since joining. We are getting better results and it is far more enjoyable to watch.
There's not much that he can do when Vipotnik misses an open goal from 3 yards and Cabango decides to punch a cross.
At least we are in the match for 90 minutes and creating chances.

Cabango really shouldn't be captain. He was given it to prevent him from leaving.
He has signed now, can we hand it to someone with some leadership skill

WoL reporting that we are interested in Furuhashi.
I hope not, he was awful against us

Could be something to cheer about

Yalcouye's number one skill appears to be falling over.
He wins a decent number of free kicks but falls over at the slightest touch. He is a long way from a Premier league regular

Bobby Wales out on loan

With Idah out injured, why send him on loan?
There's no point bringing an equivalent loan signing in to train up someone else's player

Our Loan Strategy?

I'm not sure what WHU were expecting with Casey. He has been 3rd choice CB behind two experienced, current internationals.
He has had a few games and plenty of experience in a match day squad.
It seems a decent enough return.

The WoL report on Joel Ward is very similar to the one on the BBC website.
I know there is only do much to say about on the matter but I had a sense of Deja Vu reading it

Former Swansea City boss reveals alarming '£100m black hole' he found at club

The recruitment over the last season n the Prem was very poor.
We spent a lot of money on better facilities but seemingly very little on scouting and recruitment

Celtic are a mess

A couple of Swans links there.
Paul Tisdale was often linked with any managerial job we had.
Plus, Kwame Ampadu leaves his coaching job

It must be a very depressing state for your career when you've been a squad player and bench warmer in the Championship, to the drop down a division and still be a squad player and bench warmer.
Can be a good player but needs regular game time somewhere.

It’s only a rumour

Why would he want to change club to move to Oxford?
He has security here as he stays when managers leave

Adam Worth continues his rise as Swansea City promote him to Recruitment Directo
at 07:24 28 Dec 2025

I'm not sure that it's the supply that is lacking as much as the cutting edge.
There is no one apart from Vipotnik scoring and Vipotnik is not an out and out finisher. He has been good at creating a bit of space and getting off a rocket shot. But, there is no one else even getting close to balls in the box.

If he continues to improve as he has then maybe we will see the return of Ki_is_god as an Eom supporter

Totally agree, I thought it was a great cross. We would score a lot more if players put the effort in to get into the box

That was the point. They should have been.
Idah was central so ok, that's probably where he should be.
Ronald was ambling around just getting intof the box.
Stamenic was a good option to square it to. Ronald could have sprinted and made an option in a more dangerous area.
It broke down and both Stamenic and Ronald both waved their hands as if to say "why play it across goal" but he was never going to pick Ronald out where he was positioned.

Idah was more central at the time but when the ball is going down one side the opposite winger could be racing into the box on the opposite side.
Sinclair was great at that, hence the 20+ goals in a season. Doubles the options in the box

He put a great ball across the box early on, it should have been a tap in but Ronald doesn't attack the 6 yard box when the ball comes in from the other side

Key is clearly the one of the weakest links, it's a shame as I expected him to really push on. I'd rather we ssigned a solid replacement and let Galbraith play in midfield
