Correct me chaps, but when he decked the Barnsley player, Houston was the manager at the time and when asked about it, he said something like, 'Yeah, what a punch!'
In today's heavily sensitised, censored, and media controlled world, imagine a manager saying that. Funny though, and arguably his only high point as our manager. |

Reminds me of a similar set-up in Glasgow I was in a few years ago. However you want to dress it up: it's an Indian restaurant shoe horned into a pub, as opposed to an excellent place I used to go near WBA's ground (The Vines I think) back in the day.
Another here who preferred the Adelaide if I went for a beer after a game and as mentioned above, great when the 6N was on. So that's the Bushranger and the Goldhawk gone, as well as Walkabout which was always lively if you fancied pushing on apres-game. |

And they were all crap!
For it to have been a conspiracy, you'd have also needed Bolton, Stoke, and the officials of both games in on it as well. Very risky strategy to leave it until a few minutes after the Bolton, Stoke game had finished for QPR to throw it away.
That knob Rooney has constantly trolled a conspiracy. Odd seeing he played for a club who similarly scored two very late goals to win a Champions League final, to think such wouldn't happen again. |

Thing is, the Arab mindset starts out big; just look at the Saudis big plans for their sovereign fund, and what's actually going to be delivered. The Dubai Emiraties have over-extended themselves massively and their Abu Dhabi cousins have had to bail them out. As for the Qataris, huge post-2022 plans, now reduced.
Always found the attention spans of some Arabs not to be as deep as their oil wells. I still think they'll look to get out before they consider staying to put right if they get hit hard. |

If we think there's been skulduggary so far, I expect its nothing compared to what will come. I wonder what the owners will do in terms of staying at the helm, and I bet there's a serious thought to 'crashing' the ship to avoid obligations and return as Manchester City 2027!

Good luck to Michelle. Unlike some, I thought NYC a bit overrated and not a patch on the London marathon. Large parts of the former were desolate areas to run through. Plus, the hilly parts seem to come at the wrong times; well, for me they did!! The Queensboro Bridge I found to be a right ol' bastard! That said, the crowds there like many races, brilliant.
Tell Michelle if she's on the bottom half of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge at the start, keep to the middle!!
I'm currently 'in motion' and will put in once I'm back home in a few weeks. |

If the basic elements of a contract (offer, acceptance, consideration, capacity, and an intention to create legal relations) exist, then I'm pretty sure you can have most (lawful) terms in a loan contract. It's not a million miles away from a term that says: a club must buy a player if they play x amount of games on loan.
Only hurdle to performance for both sides, is the uncertainty created if a player gets injured/suspended, maybe diluting the opportunity to meet the target. However, the real problem comes if the player is: out of form, carrying a knock, rubbish, or you want to change tactics etc. |

Just seen the highlights and yes, that's a poor miss. My immediate thought: he's started to celebrate that nonosecond too early. His effort seconds later was, however, great skill by him and sadly, a great save.
A few games back, I commented that you'd hope an important chance would fall to others currently. However, he scores that header, then things might change. Who knows? Because I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed how dejected Alfredo looked at the end of the game because he knows.
Not sure what's happening with the Coventry lad or, he who cannot be named, but if they can get anywhere near an appearance, they'd surely get the nod over Alfredo. |

Always seemed to me we asked him to play in a way tgat was just unsuitable for him. He needed to run on to things, not being a big basher up top.
That said, a total match for Dozzell in the lethargic looking stakes.

If you read the BBC story, it goes on to detail what happened on that fateful day; the 25th anniversary of which, was a week ago.
So, to suggest a disconnect ignores the reality: life moves on and memories fade. I doubt many, if any of us, can remember the call signs of the other three jets involved that day and this is what it is: something that's just, unfortunate. |
