There’s no timeline when it comes to ‘One unders’ on the Underground. Even if it’s a straightforward fatality, it can take up to 2 hours to clear. When the casualty is still alive, it can take longer depending on the severity of the incident.
I’ve thankfully never had that misfortune in 30 years as a driver. |

Obviously non QPR, but what they’ve done in the last 10 years is mental. Being a solid Championship team, and now solid Premiership team. I think they could qualify for the Champions League this season.
It goes to show what can be done if you’re a well run outfit. |

Only just caught up with this thread. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, and yet uplifting in equal measure.
Ted, you are without doubt, one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing at QPR. Whether it’s on this forum, the away days or just the halftime chats on the concourse in the loft, you’ve always had time to chat.

Coventry wasn’t the first game though.
Our biggest thumping on the first day from what I remember are, Southampton 5-1 in around 85/86 and Watford 4-0 with Ainsworth in charge.
We also lost 4-1 at Villa in 1993. |

I watched this when it first aired on Sky documentaries, and watched it again last night.
Pat Van Den Hauwe was talking about being sent off against QPR after the infamous fight on the pitch in the 84/85 season. He punched Simon Stainrod in the face. Apparently, Neville Southall and one other were the only two players not involved.
I was watching from the paddocks.
Didn’t he lose his shìt another time at Loftus Road when the loft were winding him up about Mandy Smith? |

That is a fantastic statement from UEFA. credit where credit is due, they’ve done what the vast majority of football supporters would want.
FIFA are all about screwing normal fans. Look what happened to ticket prices at the World Cup just gone.
When FIFA announced the ticket prices, UEFA were not happy, but they couldn’t get involved. So they announced that the majority of tickets for the Euros in 2028 would be capped at £30.
I’m not saying UEFA are angels, but they’ve played a blinder since the World Cup prices were announced. |

Matterface has got to be one of the worst commentators ever. ITV are just shite, end of.
Guy Mowbray on the other hand, is a good commentator. Not as good as Barry Davies was, but good.
