I get it, but if a player slid in studs up to put a ball out of play, for example, and there was no one near him then there's no way the ref is giving red .
The studs are up but come nowhere near the Preston player it's just a collision of bodies due to the Preston player trying to get the block in. Not dangerous so straightforward yellow card decision. In a way it's a good case for VAR as there is no way the ref had a proper view from that side .
He may not fit with our current style of play but he is good in the air which is gold dust in squad with so many 5 ft 7 inchers. If we can't accommodate him in some way we can't call ourselves a development club.
Exactly. JS had to juggle the squad but to say he had no other options is questionable. If we don't win against Charlton it'll look like poor squad management.
He's an old fashioned number 9. Get him fit and surround him with pace and he'll still be valuable in this division. Not sure we'll ever get big money for him though.

Fair enough but sub for the last 20 minutes is what he's likely to be used for. Why not give him a go in that role in a run of games and see what happens? Don't get the obsession with every player having to press. Messi did sweet FA for the team without the ball but that didn't seem to stop Argentina playing with intensity when needed.
We need more than quicker and combative in cm, especially playing 442. Can't see Chair suddenly having vision and passing range to play cm at his age .

Our side of the draw was easier no question. But the travelling involved was brutal - across an entire continent and back through high altitude / time zones etc. Agree Tuchel isn't right for England though Throwing players under a bus instead of acknowledging errors will come back to haunt him .
