I watched Mortimer and Whitehouse doing their Christmas fishing show and they had Turbot for a Christmas dinner.... Apparently quite popular in Cornwall instead of Turkey |

After spending last Christmas in the sun, me and Mrs Superhoops are home alone
Roast Turkey Crown, Gammon, Roasties, PIB's, pork & Chestnut stuffing, Brussels, carrots, beans, broccoli and of course gravy and Yorkshires.
However, we are on to the 2nd page of this thread and none of you heathens have mentioned the culinary delight that is - Cauliflower Cheese. A must have and no roast dinner is complete without it so we shall be tucking into that too.
This will be followed by a panacotta (it better wobble) with a raspberry coulis
All this will be washed down with a bottle of Moet (wife gets half a dozen each year from work) and no doubt a few pints of San Miguel from my perfect draught machine which I love.
The only banned thing in our house, is Mrs Browns Boys. Generally a catch up time on the Sky Q (even have series from 2021 to watch
Anyway, hope you all enjoy and if not too late dont forget, cauli cheese... Dont knock it till you try it |

Camberley, you are correct, it doesn't matter a great deal... But here's the thing... Hypothetically we had won the last test, or even one of the earlier ones and were at 2-1 and still in with a shout? This is a prime example of a shocking debacle where we take injury prone players who have no chance of making a 5 match series. Why do we keep doing it to ourselves. The selectors have to take responsibility for this series being such a shocker as much as anyone else does.
The whole series has been a joke in truth and whilst we blame the players, its not just them or the coach. I used to love the boxing day test and one of the few I would make an effort to stay up for but this year I, like many others no doubt, cannot be bothered.
I did however wonder with all these stories (Particularly surrounding Duckett) that should he score a century he would do a Gazza and lay down in the middle of the crease while people squirted water in his mouth!!
Anyway, Merry Christmas all you cricket lovers and maybe we will finish the year on a bang |
