Nah swimming is the best fitness, far less stress on joints compared to running.
Personally I just don't get the obsession with jogging/running. You should only be running if a) you're running away from something - Godzilla, Freddie Krueger, etc. or b) you're running to get something - a bus, a ball, free cake.
