Kevin Campbell RIP
at 10:53 15 Jun 2024

Unbelievable, always seemed a lovely bloke as a pundit and an incredibly underrated footballer. How much would someone like him be worth in the Premier League today? Someone who always scored goals wherever he went.

RIP Super Kevin Campbell.

What is your second sport.
at 09:38 15 Jun 2024

Definitely Rugby for me. I absolutely love the internationals. Great sport, whole different vibe to football as a spectator. I first got into it while travelling Australia just as the 2003 World Cup started. Great time to start watching it, obviously. Did my first England international at Twickenham in 2017, loved it, don't remember much about the match due my in-play consumption of Guinness.

Went to see the Durban Sharks at the Stoop last month. Great stuff.

Coors Light.

It's a shame really that the meatheads of the 80s and 90s before the Government actually pulled their fingers out and stopped the divs from travelling, have given the English fans this lasting legacy of being football hooligans. They will forever have a target on their back in Europe when the small minded fools from mostly Eastern Europe come to town who still believe English firms are a thing. The Russians did it in 2016 and likely the Serbs and Hungarians will be looking for it.

Tottenham friendly tickets now on sale
at 16:25 11 Jun 2024

I've done a fair few pre-season games and nearly always vow never to bother again before the long absence of football in the summer months sets in and it all seems like a good idea again.

To be honest, one of the better ones was Hampton and Richmond a couple of years ago. AFC Wimbledon last summer was truly horrible.

I can't remember the Man United one being this expensive?

Don't think I'll bother with that for that price. Taking the p*ss.

Mitrovic has 28 goals in 28 games over in Saudi. Still only 29? That's shocking he's gone over there that early. Lets hope he's got fatter than ever.

I think if the owners could find the land, they'd build one. The costs do not go against FFP anyway.
Has to happen so the club can sustain itself in the long run. Sooner the better.

Alan Hansen seriously ill
at 11:52 10 Jun 2024

Alex Ferguson left him out of the 86 World Cup Scotland squad which seems absolutely mental.

Can't believe it's been 10 years since he retired from the BBC. He was one of the best pundits.

Funny story I read from his auto biography that he once fell out with Richard Keys back in the early days when Sky were showing Italian football before the Premier League came along. Hansen had said something about the Serie A game they just been watching, being one of the most boring game's he'd ever sat through. Apparently Keys didn't like his lack of enthusiasm for for job.

Eze for England!
at 09:18 4 Jun 2024

Southgate gave Eze and good praising in the post match interviews which, I get a feeling is his way of sweetening him up before he drops him for the tournament.

Personally, I think Eze is genuinely much better and far more exciting than Bowen and Maddison, but Southgate's gonna Southgate.

I thought Grealish did well so he's in.

No one here making a claim for the squad really. Not a fan of Jared Bowen or Gallagher at all. Nowhere near the level.

A lot of opinions saying that but he's also declared Labour as the next government.
Might as well not bother come July 4th!

Geezer Butler, some of his lyrics were inspired ahead of his time. War Pigs and Spiral Archtect were genius.
