Pretty certain I said back before the transfer window shut in September that we would finish 16th if we didn't sign 2 more midfielders. Top 10 if we did. We didn't, spent money on Saito, and we're 16th. This is why I don't have an issue with JS as he was hamstrung before a ball was kicked. |

I'm going to defend JS. Did you see the bench today? There is nothing to change the game with. As for the style of football. That is on Noury and not on JS, for two reasons. Firstly, Ben Wiliams which has been discussed on other threads. If you can't put your best players out then your stuffed. Secondly, with that CM (put together by Noury) is a joke. This all goes back to the summer. Undercooked and unconditioned players and money wasted on Saito rather than buying a central midfield that can pass a ball. If I was JS I'd walk. And tell them to fck off as I turned the light off. |

Problem for Nourry is that JS and Ben Williams report to him. One has to go and do we really think he's gonna boot his mate out? I really feel for JS as he has been badly let down by others in the club. Change the manager, yet nothing will change. As for Saito. I said he was a poor signing at the time and so it is. We could/should of spent that money on two decent CM. Criminal. |

Apparently players were laughing on the bench. I didn't see it, but if its true then that is unforgiveable. |

Be interesting to see how they go once the 'new manager bounce' has ended. |
 | Forum Reply | Spurs' new stadium at 22:04 5 Mar 2026
Wow, their ground at the end looks as empty as it will against Stoke midweek in the coming November. |

And teenage players having to arrange their own loans as CN told them it was too late for the club to do anything. Poor. My biggest issue with CN, apart from Ben Williams, is the clubs attitude to the youngsters. |

The back pass rule change was the best thing that happened to the game. Like you watching back passes to Grobelar in GK was like watching paint dry. As for the long throws etc. It's just hone around in a circle, long ball, throwns in etc are back in vogue. Then someone will work out that rather than CB that can't tackle they'll decide to have CBs that can tackle and head. Groundbreaking! |

I didn't read too many dissenting paragraphs when Kone etc were being signed. We're also not going to be winning many points with this injury list. It's not sacking off the games, it's being realistic. However, if Ben Williams is involved next season then we'll repeat it again. Anyone think Williams will be sacked or resign? |

First time I'd heard booing during the game in a long long time, though I don't think it's aimed at the coach. The ironic cheers on 65 minutes, I think, when Morgan finally made a crunching tackle summed it up. I like JS and think it would be a backwards step, yet again, if he was to leave at the end of the season. Just give the bloke the tools, namely fit players, to do his job, and he might just move us up the table. |

It definitely wasn't a back 3 first half, unless you are counting Varane as a CB as he was so deep. |
 | Forum Reply | Esquerdinha at 10:14 1 Mar 2026
Maybe Esquadinha assumed Varane could make a pass with his left foot and under a little pressure. Poor from Varane, and cowardly having a pop at him. Look at yourself first and ask did I do the best I could. If yes, then you can blame others. Varane is a poor footballer. |

Finally, someone has said this about JD. He's the captain, the guy you turn to when things are going wrong, and he doesn't seem to want to lead. How can the captain allow Varane to start having a pop at Esquadinha? I've never seen Dunne pull the team together post conceding and get them to refocus. I'll not have a go at the youngsters, but some of these senior players should be charged with dereliction of duty. Dunne, Varane, Hayden, Saito, Smyth - none want to lead. It's just an arms out wide looking at everyone else to blame. If the older players are not leading, then what are they actually contributing? |

The weather was nice, so I had a pleasant walk from Hammersmith to the ground. When I got home the missus had a couple of beers chilled in the fridge ready. Zero positives from the game though. |
 | Forum Reply | Our ‘goal’ today….why was it disallowed? at 18:45 28 Feb 2026
I was right behind the goal in Upper Loft. Smyth standing in an offside position in front of the GK. Probably right decision. Linesman flagged it straight away. [Post edited 28 Feb 18:46]
