Yep, getting to this pub https://youtube.com/shorts/Xz2 has been a dream of mine for the last few years. Really pleased to have got there. Worst selection of lagers on record (though I only had one beer, an IPA, due to medication. Otherwise I may have been matching up and down.
6 pints and a J20 being around £29 impressed me as well.
Good selection of food on offer in the ground. Saw people with loaded fries, fish cakes, beef brisket.
That murmuration of starlings (?) was really impressive
Apart from the very last few seconds, I didn't think Donny were going to equalise. Though it shouldn't have ever been a question. Need to see the keeper again, can't judge him on that. I do worry this team will collapse at fratton [Post edited 12 Jan 14:13]

First football match I remember watching was Spurs v City in the 81 Cup Final replay. Remember loving all the razzamatazz around it and the Villa winning goal. Then no memory of anything till later that year and visiting my grandad in the eye hospital near The Dell and Saints losing at home to Spurs and my dad and Grandad being upset. Realised I had a decent team on my doorstep and started taking an interest. At my Junior School in Weeke, Winchester, we were all Saints fans. The kids in the year above and below were all sorts but we were Saints. As were all my family. It was only a matter of time till we won the league.
My old man never took me to a game, my mum did when she could and my dad was elsewhere in the ground (they weren't seperated, and I didn't think it weird!). In his later years I took him to some games and he saw us win at Wembley in 2010 |

I thought Natalie's Party and Beautiful would be part of the set list, but nope (though Id had a couple and may have missed them...)
They did do Meant To Be, which is one of my favourites of their's and a cover of Love's 'A House is not a Motel', which pleased me [Post edited 8 Dec 2025 18:20]
