For me if we get to 5 points behind, and looking desperate for the title, i think then ill have comfy thoughts on 2nd place.
Currently i cant see past aldershot, winning it. Even though another tester and are going to come at us. I see Dale victorious and on track for the title.
If not reasses after the weekend. Its Game by game.
We've got a big squad, a talented squad but still be pushing hard. Not thinking 'well, we've done great for most of the season '
Say no to complacency. Drawn, Drawn, Won, Drawn...The manager needs to encourage and do his bit and galvanise this squad with positive on-field decisions, every game. To make the most of our position and opportunity, and get us out of this mediocre form.
In this game, a too much of a cautious approach after going ahead.
York don’t do this that’s the difference between us and them.
The team focusing more on not conceding. we missed opportunities to take control of the match, we need to have a more attacking mentality, especially with an early goal, with most of the match to play.
Yes, too many high, lofty shots over the bar. An interesting point I read about Shearer's technique was that when he had a wild swing, or uncontrolled stab at goal, hit it in the ground. Cause mayhem in the box, make it awkward for the keeper and maybe give others a chance.
I feel that for the disallowed goal, Manny D was onside. For Gordon's yellow, the defender does pull out of the challenge, and it looks like a dive. Think we got lucky with the penalty. It looks like the defender got the ball.
Drawing against a top rival in this division isn't a bad performance. Although we dominated, we should have won with more quality in the opponent's box. The season outcome is not cause for concern, we are so competitive in every game, and this squad are a great bunch. And as long as the lads are giving it their all, we are going to win this league or be there abouts.
I do think the midfield could have served Dev better when the ball was moved around central of the pitch. Many times he wasnt marked closely, and he was asking with his arms for the ball. Instead it went to the right.
Really looking forward to this, and hope we keep the pressure on the opposition by playing our best players on fire and unstoppable. Sub them if struggling later in the game. We must keep up the momentum; it's a squad game, but let's see the players who are currently having a blinder in the starting 11.
We can go all the way with this team because of the high energy for the 90 minutes, the subs that complement or improve the quality of our game, a threat and dangerous. Jim's got some team players in; recruitment has been spot on; decisions, I'm sure, helped by staff, Taylor and Dunn. Long way to go, but its looking great at the moment.
Strip searches tomorrow, and you can buy a memorabilia Dale rubber glove from the club Shop. Although, it might need another strip search to go in and buy one.
Ridiculous and over the top. Queueing up for the main stand, there was an old guy in front with a flat cap, who was told to remove it. Maybe to see if he had any pyrotechnics, planning a blue smoke Dale celebration. His wife was searched, she was taking her coat off, hand had a bag of wool for crocheting. I was having to unzip my coat and spin round for a back check. WTF.
High energy performance and kept focused for the full 90. All tuned in on the same frequency, partnerships, passing and moving. Doing the basics right. Had Boreham Wood in their pocket.
I don't think they would moan if it's a fair price to pay. I'm thinking of those with a budget; buying a coffee and a pie is an expensive treat at Dale. Affordable for one, or for those with a decent wage. Part of the match experience. But make it affordable for families who turn up, especially the new supporters. At the moment its a treat for the affluent. I'd be happy with hollands on match day to bring the price down.
I get that, but reckon it sends punter to sausage rolls instead at 3.50. Few people moaning in the queue too in front of me, wincing at the pie prices. But the rolls, I imagine, they have a strong mark up as cheap to make.
I must admit the steak pie was quality in the main stand. 6 fikin quid though? Have they gone up? Premier league pies are cheaper. I think 4-50 5 quid is fair.
I'm hoping Dale throws the kitchen sink at them and plays to our strengths with confidence—no need to be tentative; show why we are near the top and up there for auto promotion.
