Crawley 3-1 up.

Wouldn't bet against them at Wembley either.

TOOT I have been to Belle Vue on a few occasions including the one which confirmed their relegation to non league.

I was also at the "Tony Christie game" which was a Friday night and also a draw.

In more recent times we have not performed well at their new stadium which is a vast improvement to Belle Vue.

Similar to the JCS but they filled in the corners to in create capacity.

The match this season was dire and on a bitterly cold night too.

I was very surprised that they lost to Crewe after the dominance that they showed at Gresty Road.

Can the Franchise overturn a 3 goal deficit tonight. Possibly but an underdog Crawley v Crewe play off final would be interesting.

Surprising scoreline from Donny Rovers.

Crewe have tied the tie 2-2 with extra time beckoning.

Taylor watch
at 21:35 8 May 2024

The Rams are looking to sign Joe Taylor from Luton.

I can't see Luton agreeing because they will want him at Kenilworth Road in the Championship next season.

Still if the price is right.

At least we know Bassey is a big spender.

Really surprised to see Ryan Lowe released.
A gem of a midfielder.

Dons look ragged and in truth have not been in this game.

Last night I watched Donny Rovers cane Crewe 2-0.

Tonight after the pitch was passed fit to play Crawley are absolutely caning the Franchise 2-0 at HT.

An upset on the cards perhaps.

Of course the better news is that the Poorman Road side will be relegated after one season to the Championship and after an impressive campaign next year and a trip to Wembley we will be promoted to League One.

I see Ryan Bowman has been released by Shrewsbury.

He was always a thorn in our side.
Not a 20 goal man but an effective performer.

Would keep Chilvers and instil in him that the TV cameras will be there every week because he plays well on TV.

Too early to make too many judgements for me but trust the Cowleys to get some important signings.

I would sign Lakin from Sutton though.

Alistair Smith is a must for me together with Edwards if he can ever get fit.

Anderson too if fit.

Kells of course.

Mingi as well but this is asking a lot given the loan situation.

Someone to replace Taylor and that is a big ask.

Keep Tovide and Bradley.

At 35 I think Big John is likely to move to Dagenham or someone similar.

Lots to mull over.

Expect the real Colchester United to turn up at the JCS for historic victory

Interesting that the pundits and City all moaning about the City Ground pitch today.

It was too dry apparently!!!!

In fairness I thought the JCS pitch yesterday was very good.
A little bit of sand but the surface was true and less threadbare than in previous weeks

Get Lakin signed from Sutton.

He is a good prospect.

Crewe celebrated as if they had been promoted.

Truth is they were relieved to have avoided Franchise in the semis.

Surely Franchise v Doncaster in the final.

Next season we must ensure that these bloody 1-1 draws are transformed into victories then we will be in the top seven.

And we want to give someone a real thrashing, we had 15 shots today and four should have gone in

Great atmosphere today and we deserved the victory 92 minute equaliser grrrrrrrr!

Hope you had a safe journey home Wessex

Attendance 6491 today.

If we challenge top seven next season then these gates are possible each week.
