They're haven't been playing well, even when they were winning earlier in the season. He wasn't playing well. He doesn't offer much to the team, when off form; He doesn't track back, he was trying too much on his own and mostly wasting opportunities. In their current malaise, they need everyone working together, as a team. |

This is great, so funny. It's the topping on a very good day. |

Let it go. Holding grudges because you didn't get a reply to an email several years ago. Really? Anyway, as far as I know, he didn't have anything to do with Bury or Sheffield Wednesday. |

We have the usual four fixtures in nine or ten days. Which is the equivalent of a shorter three game week with an additional fixture tagged on. Fortunately, the furthest we have to go is WBA and the last two are at home. It's crazy scheduling though and Julien will have to rotate whoever isn't injured. However, January 10th is later than usual for the third round and we do have five clear days before it. We might be able to field a few first teamers. |
 | Forum Reply | Rail seating potentially expanding at 14:38 4 Dec 2025
Do me a favour. The SA Rd stand is totally unsuited to rail seating. There are a lot of season ticket holders that wouldn't want, or be able, to stand or be exposed to the elements and sun in their eyes in the front rows. It's bad enough being forced to stand at most away games, we would have to stop coming if your suggestion was accepted. Just let the club do the consultation on their proposed area and see how that turns out. Btw, it doesn't create extra room and adding little bits in the corners and at the back of the stands would almost certainly be cost prohibitive. Even in the days of all standing in the Loft, School End and Paddocks the percentage was probably a great deal less than 80-90%. [Post edited 4 Dec 14:42]

I don't disagree and I don't really want to move. However, our stadium is poorly maintained, high cost and, so far, no one has resolved how to substantially improve it. |

Thanks TacticalR. It gives a bit of background that I was unaware of. |

Whilst what you are saying is true, its not how Lee Hoos saw it when he was CEO. Every pound coming in was vital and expenditure was to be avoided or reduced if possible. Only in football, you can make a loss every year and still be a going concern. Someone or some corporate body has to cover those losses, to some extent, otherwise......see Bury, Sheffield Wednesday etc.etc. |

Yes but, how long can we continue losing £1.3 million a month? Ruben seems to be a very generous owner but realistically he won't be around for ever. I don't know what the answer is but the future of our club needs to be safeguarded. |

Well we were in for Edwards in August, so there is probably, some headroom in the FFP budget, haven't spent all of the Eze windfall yet. |

They were talking about a list where two or more must be ticked before a penalty is awarded. FFS, why make it so complicated? Does it break the laws of the game? Yes, it's foul play, award the penalty and possibly a card. No, play on. |

If it hadn't been for Naki Wells soft penalty and a referee who couldn't spot any of the eight opposition players in the box, one of which was almost within touching distance of the taker, we would have done it twice. There's always Port Vale though. |

I despair, that you cannot see that your list is made up with numerous reasons why the intensity of the game (when the ball is in play) has increased over the years. This list directly contributes to fatigue and injuries. It also seems to be more, as you put it, "threatening to life and limb" as per the stats posted by KensalT. Do you ever look back at old matches from the 70's. They are almost pedestrian in comparison. They might have been more entertaining, and defenders might have been trying to kick lumps out of 'the mavericks' but they pale into insignificance, when compared to, the sheer force of todays challenges, fair and foul (a fine margin, sometimes). |

Strikers are expensive and we have to try Kolli, who can score goals. We might need to try and loan one though, if Kone and Kolli go to AFCON. We either keep RND until the summer or bring in a left back. Go for Edwards. He's a better footballer than anyone of our defence, can play cb, rb or dm, likes the club, fans like him, club likes him. Cooke's contract runs out this summer which will, if rumours are true, be a big help to the budget. |
