ONS figures on net migration into the UK show that the numbers in the year to June 2025 fell to 204,000 compared with the record of 944,000 to March 2023. You'd imagine this would be a huge cause for celebration among the millions of people who have been so concerned about the numbers.
You would imagine that if people are so concerned about immigration they'd be interested enough to check out the facts.
Bearing that in mind, can any of you explain why it is that when asked by pollsters 67% believe that the numbers have increased while the percentage of Reform voters who believe it has risen is 80%.
So again, can any of you explain why those people aren't interested in facts ? It appears that they simply believe what they believe and don't want facts getting in the way of those beliefs ? |

He was probably referring to all the people in the so called drug trafficking boats that have been blown out of the water.
Perhaps they've got compelling evidence that those particular boats were indeed carrying drugs but even in America it should still be the case that people are innocent until proven guilty. |

There are many things we can be critical about regarding the NHS - doctors going on strike, waste, too many chiefs and not enough Indians, Wes Streeting and the Government.
But when you have about a million idiots a year turning up at A & E with minor ailments like coughs and hiccups (seriously), you have to wonder how much better the service would be if these people had just a modicum of common sense. |

Agreed. If we do win tomorrow we'll be on 32 points and we'd need just six wins out of the 21 games left to reach 50 points (which will almost certainly be enough).
Even the most pessimistic among us would believe we'd manage that. |

Wasn't that the one where 5 foot 5 inch Routledge was standing behind their 6 foot two centre half and somehow the ref saw a handball (which he couldn't have seen firstly because he can't see through a person's body and secondly because Routledge didn't handle the ball). |

In the overall scheme of things this is not the biggest thing to concern us but points at the dreadful way Trump's mind works.
American people have free access to the National Parks on various days of the year including the anniversary of Martin Luther King's death. That free day has been cancelled and Trump's birthday added.
I pray his narcissism helps bring about his downfall. |

The vast majority of us would not be aware of anything outside of the football. But what Keith says suggests there is something so can I respectfully ask posters to hold back on what they say.
People can still be critical of mistakes but some of the things said previously have gone beyond mere criticism. |
