Restructure is the way it will go. The EU is already very different from 2016.
If they really do want the UK to rejoin that may be the extra push restructure needs otherwise we'll still say no/non/nein. |

From my dubious memory.
They had to beat Bristol Rovers to be promoted as long as we lost. A bunch who couldn't get tickets for that game came along to support Preston.
But unfortunately we didn't lose.  |

For some reason myself and my wife were in the enclosure, not the North Bank that night. But when he headed the ball we were able to watch the flight of the ball from directly behind him.

He played a few games at the end of last season and I loved watching him. I was expecting something good to happen every time he had the ball. He may not fit exactly into what Vitor wants in a first eleven to do ie working hard, pressing and so on.
But he does bring something different and that will almost certainly be needed in a lot of games this season when some of the most tactically aware managers come up with a plan to counter our normal game. |

From memory, going way back, the rent paid to the council was 10, maybe 12% of gate receipts (just gate receipts, yes?).
At this rate gate income (current crowd numbers) for the season will be £8 million or so. If the rest of the season is good that will end up over £10 million. So the rent will be somewhere approaching £1.5 million. And that's assuming an average ticket price of £20. |

Even more positive news. We're being bombarded with it this season.
All we need now is the confirmation of the purchase of the stadium quickly followed by the announcement of the extension to 35,000 ready for the PL as by that time, probably just post Christmas, we'll be well on the way to promotion.

We were all pretty careful with our predictions before the start of the season. Some were saying a top ten finish would be good progress. Others like me said that we'd make the top eight, albeit with hope rather than confidence.
Now I think that we'd be disappointed if we didn't make the play offs, the start has been so good. |

Everyone has to accept that there'll always be some who get through even we manage to stop all the boats. They may just go back to jumping into the back of lorries.
The fact remains that the numbers of illegal migrants are down substantially this year compared to 2025. 31,000 up to the 16th September last year and down to 17,450 up to 16th September this year.
I wouldn't take 1/2/3000 as much of a positive, just a general fluctuation you might expect but I do take 13,550 as a real positive.
It will be very interesting to see this year's full numbers to compare again with 2025 then the numbers up to 16th Sept 2027.
What if the 16th Sept 2027 numbers are down to 10,000 or below compared with this year's. Will you all be happy that the Government are really getting to grips with the problem then ? |

Just a thought about capacity.
Firstly I think it's fair to say that the 54,000 expansion video is just not realistic. That's St James Park size. And i'm not talking Exeter City there. I'd imagine 35,000 would be the max.
It's all ifs and buts I know. But if they decided to expand by putting 10 extra rows for example around the North, East and South that would add about 7000 (each single row is about 700 at a guess). That would give a capacity of 28,000. But if they decided that 35,000 was needed the extra 10 rows would cost a fraction of the first ten.
So the message is, if they decide to do it they may as well expand by a substantial number. |

Correct again cat. Well done Labour for standing up against the murderous Israeli government.
The sanctions may be a small thing in the overall scheme of things. But when coupled with the same message from many other countries it means so much more. |
