I was born in Wembley but now I live in Willesden I despise their suburban mores. Although where I was born was annexed by Ealing in the 90s so perhaps that makes me officially a West Londoner now. Or will I always be a Middlesexer? Geographical identity is all a load of bollocks really. |

The key word there is historic. |

A gruesome but compelling watch. Touching on Boston's comment, what most struck me most was how the idiot cop and complacent judge escaped any scrutiny as to their enabling. Perhaps it was obviously implicit but once again, while we acknowledge there will always be malign people - it's why we have laws, after all - it's difficult to accept that they are so often enabled by people who should be standing in their way. |

A curious argument, if not an outrightly foolish one. Counties are only ever political or administrative entities (as are nation states). Middlesex has no offices, no officials, no laws, no jurisdiction, no authority. I'll concede it does nominally have a cricket team, just about. It very much exists only in history, regardless of what a handful of whimsical MPs with too much time on their hands may have once subscribed to. And I doubt you can cite any law declaring that Middlesex exists because of course it does not. You may regret its passing, but like the parrot and the Roman Empire, it most certainly has passed. |

You've contradicted yourself there! How can it be in Middlesex when Middlesex no longer exists except in Royal Mail's systems? (arguably not even there as postcodes made the county redundant as part of an address). HA postcodes can't be described as out of London as almost all are in London boroughs. Willesden is much more expensive than Wembley now! [Post edited 18 Nov 18:54]

Maybe, maybe not. But that's a pretty judgemental comment. And more than likely that a far greater number have mental health issues because they feel coerced into conforming to societal or cultural norms. I take the attitude that other people's sexual and gender preferences are none of my f**cking business. |

I pre-empted this by not watching Gladiator 1. |

I like Cifuentes and I don't want him sacked, but I'm also not ready to rule out the possibility that he's not doing a very good job this season - and there are plenty of things to question on that count. |

There's no tax advantage to running a business through a limited company, that loophole was closed years ago. Actually there's a disadvantage now. Profits are taxed at a minimum 19% , dividends are paid from taxed profit and then taxed again depending on your personal tax band. |

Never mind the football - your Dad had a burst appendix, which can be fatal, and you chose to go to Norfolk instead of St Mary's or Park Royal? |
