Might have been covered elsewhere (apols), but is there any scope for an emergency recall at any point this season for Daniel Bennie from Tannadice? Just thinking in terms of..(let me wildly speculate)..any injury crisis with our current strikers (perish such a thought).

Great fightback Rangers - well done to all.
I guess tonight I'm internally divided, and that division appears to be reflected on this thread. A draw at home and pts dropped against arguably the worst (and managerless) side in this league, or the major exhilaration of an immense fightback with 10 men that left LR absolutely bouncing? I don't know.
I really admired Captain Dunne's Top Six comment for its bravery, spirit and determination - but I immediately referenced this after Kenny's 2nd goal today. Does a side pitching for an upper play-off place concede two goals in under half an hour against a 23rd place team which has lost 6 of the last 7, or does the power of the 2nd half fightback lay a foundation for a place in the top quarter of the Championship in May? Very hard to judge or know.
There's spirit and steel there, unquestionably, but we have had a kind-ish fixture list up to now. We have improved no doubt - and today proves it again. But Top Six? Let's see in early December. |

That was the best Fans' Forum for many a year (imho) with many bang up-to-date issues raised/discussed which I thought would not be (Kolli, injuries, offensive chanting - even Cargiant got a reference!).
There's obviously a limit to the detail a professional football club can go into openly - and there will always be difficult issues - but I felt that the panel worked really hard to be as transparent as they can be.
Overall, there appeared to be an element of stability tonight - Christian, Julian and Jimmy were all at the club last season and, to me, it showed. Thank you to all of them. [Post edited 16 Sep 22:27]

Agree with this - it's arguably very tough for young people these days and supporters under 30 are the club's future. It's great that so many commit to travelling and supporting the Rs in numbers. Good on them.
The song is grossly offensive without doubt - my problem is I now just can't stop singing/mouthing it quietly under my breath in work at the moment. And we have a lot of females in our team..... |

Yep, I think we all anticipated this absolute inevitability before Sat.
But , like Oxford with Gary Rowett last season, I very much say Wrong Decision. They've got problems, but I don't think Heckingbottom was one of them - quite the opposite imho. Did a very decent job there. |

Frustrating afternoon - but, as others have said, that frustration reflects real improvement. Injuries notwithstanding, we are clearly moving towards 'promotion' teams (Milwall, 'Boro) and steadily away from 'relegation fodder' (Cardiff, Pompey).
(Very) early prediction: the 3 promoted sides from League One (Cardiff, Bolton, Imps) all to go straight back down - can easily see this happening this season. The gap between the 2nd and 3rd tiers is now slowly becoming as wide as between the 1st and the 2nd...imho. |

For me, Brentford's rise was forged in all those play-off failures we all laughed at back in the day (Yeovil, 'Boro etc). Unlike Luton and others (...), the Bees' ascent was therefore steady, continuous and incremental, building astutely whilst buying and selling players (partic. strikers) in a timely, planned manner. They rose solidly, but never too quickly. And today is the result - an established Prem Lge club built (literally) on concrete, not sand.
I'm envious, though they do now need to show something for it - Europe, a cup final appearance etc. |
