Following a recent Written Resolution and two surveys, The Vanarama National League have confirmed the following changes to the 2024/25 season. Substitutions “A Club at its discretion may use five substitute Players at any time in a match. Substitution can only be made when play is stopped for any reason and the Referee has given permission. A maximum of (seven) substitutes may be nominated and they must be included on the official Team Sheet handed to the Referee before the match”. Christmas and Easter fixture schedules “Historically, the Christmas and New Year schedules are reversed, in that the Boxing Day Fixtures are reversed with New Year Day fixture, therefore playing the same team in a close timeframe. After surveying all clubs, the Board agreed that the League will reverse next seasons Boxing Day fixtures with Good Friday and New Year with Easter Monday”. |

What’s up with this guy? A few weeks ago he scores and stands in front of the Sandy with his finger in his ears staring at the fans. Tonight he scores and doesn’t celebrate but stares right at the fans again. He gets subbed off and doesn’t clap the fans, and then when the players came over at the full time whistle after the team talk on the pitch he’s behind all the other players shoulders slumped and sulking |

I can't remember the ruling on this but with it not being a Saturday 3pm kick off will I be able to watch the game if I pay the £10 match pass? |

Boxing day at Spotland, 3 points would be very welcome but that seems unlikely with our current home form. Will Hill keep the lineup the same as Southend or will it be more chopping and changing? Will be interesting to see if Cannon and Mcgahey start with all the rumours surrounding them leaving. Let's hope the lads are as up for this game as they were against Southend, I'm going for an optimistic 1-1 draw |

Semi finalists in the carabao cup, incredible achievement for a league one side. Would love them to go all the way and make it to Wembley however unlikely |
| Forum Thread | What was your first ever Rochdale game? at 18:16 28 Nov 2018
I'm fed up of reading about that dreadful display last night so I was wondering what was the first dale game you ever attended? Mine was the 8th of November 2003 against Bury in the FA Cup, we came out as 2-1 winners with Leo Bertos scoring the first and Super Kevin Townsend bagging the crucial second |

Potchettino spitting his dummy out at the state of our pitch last season, that Wembley pitch tonight is a disgrace |
| Forum Thread | Question for those who were at Burton at 00:44 8 Aug 2018
Couldn’t make the game and it was never mentioned on the match thread so how was the defence set up? Was it a back 3 with McGahey, MJ Williams and McNulty or was it a back 4? |
| Forum Thread | Today I learned at 15:49 12 May 2018
That Halfiax and Rochdale used to be rivals. I was on Halifax Town's wikipedia page and there was a section called rivalries. I was surprised to see that it had Rochdale listed as a rival. I decided to do a bit of research and stumbled upon an a thread over on the Halifax Town forum from 2014 that asked who are your top 3 rivals. There was about 25ish responses and I'd say about 70 percent of them had Rochdale in their list although they did acknowledge that we've got bigger fish to fry now. I've supported Rochdale for 15 years and I don't ever remember anyone mentioning Halifax as a rival. The only rivalries I've known about are Bury, Stockport, Oldham and Notts County for that one season. So what were the matches with Halifax like? Was this the main rivalry back in the day? Also do those of you who supported Rochdale around that time still dislike Halifax today? [Post edited 12 May 2018 15:50]

Hopefully a few results can go in our favour today. Since we beat Shrewsbury it would be nice if Blackburn could return the favour and beat MK. Fleetwood are almost out of it now after 3 wins on the spin, anyone below them are probably still in the relegation battle Bradford City P-P WALSALL Doncaster Rovers P-P AFC WIMBLEDON FLEETWOOD TOWN v Bristol Rovers MK DONS v Blackburn Rovers OLDHAM ATHLETIC v BLACKPOOL Peterborough v NORTHAMPTON TOWN Shrewsbury Town v OXFORD UNITED [Post edited 2 Apr 2018 12:22]

| Forum Thread | The Sheffield Wednesday season ticket debacle at 15:47 9 Jan 2018
For anyone who doesn't know the Sheffield Wednesday owner has offered the supporters the chance to refund their season tickets for the remaining games. The conditions of the refund are a ban from purchasing all future season tickets and membership applications and forfeit of accrued loyalty points. I find this absolutely staggering that a club would offer this and why any fan would accept this, you buy a season ticket in the hope of success, not guaranteed success. Then if Sheffield Wednesday start playing well again the fans who got a refund will inevitably want to come back and the club will be turning money away so it doesn't even make sense from a business point of view. All this has done is divide the fan base into people who have taken the refund and people that haven't with both sets abusing each other, it's madness. How clubs can get the PR so badly wrong is baffling to me, not that we are immune from the odd PR nightmare like the DJ situation |
| Forum Thread | Expectations at 21:39 8 Oct 2017
Whenever one of my friends asks, "what would be a good season for Rochdale." I always say 20th or above would be a good season for us with our budget and I know a lot of other Rochdale fans think the same way. I've even seen numerous posts on this forum saying exactly that. I know there is still a long way to go this season but assuming we carry on as we are and maintain our position of 18th would you feel disappointed? Would you class it as a successful season? We all say that survival in this league would be a success for a club like us but I'd be really disappointed with a bottom half finish this season. I think it shows how far we've come as a club that i'd be disappointed with a bottom half finish as during the days of League two football i'd have no doubt taken an 18th position season in league one. Hopefully Keith and the boys can start to kick on this season anyway |
| Forum Thread | Not having a season ticket at 22:00 22 Aug 2016
Been a season ticket holder for 14 years and followed Rochdale home and away but couldn't afford one this year so I decided I was going to pick and choose games but I haven't missed going to the football that much. I know it helps to not go when we are losing but my first game is coming up that I said that I was going to pay on the day for at the start of the season but I'm not sure I can be bothered going. I know its early doors but it's been a lot easier then I thought it would be to get out of the routine of going to the football on a Saturday. I know this probably makes me a bit of a rubbish fan but it's just how I feel at the moment. Can anyone else who hasn't got a season ticket relate to this? [Post edited 22 Aug 2016 22:09]
