Well if we have to replace him it’ll cost 7 figures , probably. For me, he’s irreplaceable at the back, going forward, in the opposition box, in the dressing room, off the pitch . Don’t underestimate how much someone with his personality and love for the club can mean. And if it’s a true that we’re only arguing over one year, then what’s the point? |

What would we have done without him? His loan signing early in the January window has proved critical. So fair play to whoever in the club picked him out. And, whilst about it, ever seen a loan player give so much, every game, and seem to love being here? Look at his celebrations at the end yesterday! |

He’s irreplaceable in so many ways. Give him what he wants. Have you seen him when we score? So excited, almost always one of the first there. He’s a legend in my view |

That is so harsh. He was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch tonight. And no surprise since had hasn’t been making the team we’ve had a wobble. He’s still raw but improving all the time and unrecognisable from the player he was when he joined |

cant disagree - I've seen all of them but for me Wilkins was just a gorgeous player with so much time on the ball, equally good with two feet. But my god we've been lucky, for a small club, to have had so many geniuses play for us |

he was completely lost in midfield and keeping him there would have been a potential disaster. Looked very good once he moved back to his natural position though |

has a massive engine on him. Don't often say this but he looks a huge prospect. Tthe mark of a good player is how much time they seem to have on the ball, and he mostly does, even in frenetic games. HIs improvement over the last few games has been monumental. |

What?! He’s been the best right back since Bardsley as far as I’m concerned and so good in both areas at set pieces |

Nice to have a forward who actually caused the centre halves to think they were in a game. Sensational performance. Get that contract sorted ! |

This is an immense man in all respects and that performance on the back of that very sad news wa even more remarkable. He’s the new Clint Hill for me |

Just so consistent and a leader of men. Such a shame he went to Forest when he was on verge of signing for us a few years back, but glad to have him now |

This. I would hate to see this from one of our players. Gives off the impression of not giving a shit. Probably not just an "impression" either, just doesn't. What a waste of a very good talent. |

I make you right. No one else could polish this turd and turn into anything other than a turd. There are some selections that I can’t understand but he worked a minor miracle last season and we just have to hope that he does the same, though we do look unsaveable this time around. Someone earlier said this team’s level is league 1. I’m not even confident about that |
 | Forum Reply | A crisis of confidence at 17:31 5 Oct 2024
He has made massive mistakes these last two games, taking dunne from right back where he has been superb and putting him at left centre half where he’s just not good enough . Leaving us with underwhelming right backs when Fox could have slotted into his natural position. As for the rest of the team, a whole series of forward players who can’t keep the ball and keep running straight into the opposition |

The new competition is noted but this guy is something else. For a big bloke, his skill, pace and strength going forward is immense and his aerial presence in both boxed is irreplaceable |

As much as I’d prefer to slate him as he’s usually rubbish, I thought he had a really good game. Not just ‘ok’ but much better. He got almost everything right , didn’t blow just because someone fell over (including the ridiculous Smyth) and let the game flow nicely. |
