| Forum Thread | No Chair at 16:34 20 Jul 2024
Does anyone know why Chair isn’t in the squad for the Tottingham game? I know Field picked up a knock in Girona so that could explain his abscence but Chair is a strange one unless he’s started his community service today! |
| Forum Thread | Update on Sinclairs matchday shirt at 11:06 15 Aug 2023
The Irish guy that Sinclair Armstrong gave his shirt to after the Cardiff game got in touch with Sinclair and asked him if he wanted it back as he had scored his first league goal in it. This was Sinclairs reply to him ' Keep it! I don't just give my jersey to people for no reason. I'll remember my fist QPR goal forever, but seeing the reaction you had to getting my jersey made my afternoon. It's all good Mr. Finnegan, God bless you'. It looks like we could well have found ourselves a proper humble, respectful footballer. If he could go any higher in my estimation he's certainly achieved. |
| Forum Thread | Dad passed away at 11:55 20 Jul 2023
Sorry for this post but yesterday I lost my dad one day short of his 90th birthday. He'd been an R's supporter for 85 years. Due to ill health the last Rangers game he saw live was the play off final win in 2014 which I took him to so I will always have that memory. |
| Forum Thread | Same again next season at 12:51 11 Apr 2023
If by chance we do actually stay up aren't we just going to be going through this whole thing again next season? As everybody keeps posting on here the majority of our B team and youth players aren't good enough and we are going to be under even more restraints financially so players coming in are going to be of very limited ability (unless we get really lucky) or sick notes (see Amos etc) Half the team are out of contract or going back to their parent clubs and others (Willock) will let their contracts run down. Anyone with any possible sale value will be sold (Chair, Dykes, Dieng, Field) so that basically leaves us with the dregs of a team already struggling in the Championship plus Kelman, Masterson, Shodipo, Alfa, Duke-McKenna and Travel Man. Bring on the 23-24 Championship season I can't wait! |
| Forum Thread | Tim Iroegbunam at 12:36 28 Feb 2023
Isn't it time we gave him a break from all the grief he is getting. The lad is 19 and has only made 28 senior appearances for us and Villa combined and because of the hype instilled on him by Prick Bile he was expected to be a wonder kid for us. As Clive is constantly commenting on, players in this standard need at least to have made 50 appearances in competitive matches to be consistent. The boy is obviously suffering zero confidence and is playing in a team in terrible form so is it any wonder that he is struggling. In an ideal world he would be taken out of the firing line for a few weeks and used as a sub to try and take the pressure off him. |
| Forum Thread | would relegation be so bad? at 12:49 3 Feb 2023
I know this post is going to attract a lot of abuse but I seriously don't think relegation would be such a bad thing. Firstly we could sort the wheat from the chaff of the players under contract and more opportunities for our youngsters and they should be strong enough to keep us competitive and winning more often. Any new players we sign would be on League 1 wages which has it's obvious positive. financially. We all know winning, in any division, lifts morale and improves mood which would hopefully lead to improved home support. You only have to look at the gates that Ipswich are getting (almost double their Championship gates). There would be a lot more away clubs that are closer to us so less travelling. it would give the club more time to regroup financially and also give the training facilities time to produce new talent without the pressure of trying to reach the 'promised land(?)'. I for one would find it a lot more exciting than playing the same old clubs and finishing circa 16th every season! |
| Forum Thread | Leicester turn loans into equity at 11:24 1 Feb 2023
Leicester's holding company have turned £194 million worth of loans into equity for the club. How is that allowed under FFP? |
| Forum Thread | Patience in letting Heston work at 10:45 31 Jan 2023
Having read numerous threads about how crap we are at the moment and the dire financial situation we are in it's obvious that the soap opera that was Mickey Bile has seriously disrupted the clubs plans for this season which was, I believe, a last hurrah at gaining promotion. With that now almost dead and buried I peronally am going to adopt a bit of patience with the club and await the hopefully positive results that Heston will bring. Obviously with the outlay for building it this is the clubs back up plan to not reaching the 'best league in the world' (Sky Sports tm) to make us sustainable in the future. If that means I have to put up with us being a lowly Championship side flirting with (and maybe succumbing to) League 1 for 5 years or so then so be it. Surely that's more acceptable than non existence. |
| Forum Thread | Stoke reduce debt at 15:57 23 Mar 2022
I see Stoke are the latest club to try and bypass FFP by reducing their debt by waiving loans. Isn't that what we tried before getting a £40m fine! |
| Forum Thread | Eze at 14:40 4 Jan 2022
Anyone know why Eze is not playing for Palace? Be nice to get a cheeky short term loan for him while Chair is away!! |
| Forum Thread | Attack or defend? at 09:37 8 Nov 2021
It's obvious since the defence has tightened up slightly then the goals we score are drying up. So we either go back to being gung-ho or we play more conservatively. Unfortunately we're not good enough to do both! Personally if it were up to me I'd rather win or lose 4-3 than win 1-0 or draw games |
