They were merely combative aggressive and competitive. All qualities that you want to see especially when playing away from home against league leaders. It’s Championship football with big bucks at stake and the pressure is on. , it’s not netball or rounders.

Oh well that puts him in good company then with the best managers in the game, Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger, Guardiola, Clough and any other manager you’d care to mention. He’s doing his best for his club. Disputing and disagreeing with referee decisions is part of the game. He was right in those instance. If that makes him an entitled prick ( whatever that means ) and a humourless jerk then so be it. |

Are you sure? That’s a bit harsh. He’s actually done well in his career by getting teams to over achieve. Getting a fourth division club to a major final for starters. Im sure you know best though. |

All eleven players have a defensive responsibility. When we don’t have the ball we make it hard for the opposition by closing them down quickly all over the pitch. Pressing high up needs to be organised annd disciplined and ours is. It’s not just about a back four. The whole team have been excellent defensively and Vigoroux of course has been outstanding too. Welsh and Lissah are good on the ball with a range of passing. We have Cabango and Steet and they will all play a big part. Hoping we can keep Tymon and Key firing as they are doing so well. Early days but I’ve put my promotion bet on… |

Why? Doing his job, defending his players and his comments about the Cabango tackle were spot on. It was a bit of an unnecessary lunge from Ben and arguably he was out of control with studs up. No disputing that. And on halfway line he didn’t need to do that.
Parkinson has done a good job at Wrexham. He’s under a bit of pressure now as they are spending big money but it’s a bit childish to call him a prick isn’t it.
Not the best game. We edged it but almost lost it 1-0 too. |

A decent hard working player but League One is his level. Did ok at Swansea too. Not quite good enough unfortunately but he’s had a reasonable career. |

He’s served our club well. Always given 100%. And made a good contribution. An intelligent footballer with a good understanding what was required but not dynamic in the sense that he lacks real pace. He can and does make things happen with his quick thinking football brain and in a number 10 role at Leicester he will do well at Leicester in League One with Russell Martin who he gets on well with. Whilst doing well in general at Swansea I’m not sure if he’s good enough to help get is promoted as that’s our aim ultimately and what we are gearing up to. |

Well done England
Third place in the World. And that game against France was the most entertaining and enjoyable game I’ve watched in a long time. Two teams attacking each other, getting players forward quickly with the emphasis on attack.
Glorified friendly? Not when there’s a third place, a bronze medal pride and FIFA rankings involved.
You can say if was football from the old days. Players expressing themselves with the shackles off. Not being over coached by coaches trying to out do each other, instead leaving players get on with it albeit with a game plan which in this case was to attack and quickly in numbers.

I have a different view.
They are a joy to watch. Superb movement pace and interchanging of positions. All players comfortable in possession including the goalkeeper / sweeper I noticed at the stadium in October that their passing accuracy and pace is difficult to stop. No one has said it’s the only or best way to play. Arsenal have taken an alternative approach which involves more emphasis on set piece success including long throw ins which are back in “ fashion “.
Teams like Bournemouth are also playing a similar entertaining brand of football to City and their 1-1 draw this week was excellent. |

De Guzman was indeed an outdistancing player for us. And in his prime then. That’s not in doubt.
But best Swans team of all time? Certainly not. Leighton James, Robbie James, Dzemal Hadziabdic, Ante Rajkovic, Bob Latchford, Alan Curtis etc might have something to say about that. As their sixth place finish showed. And were top wifh two months of the season left. You had to be there. |

Yes but there needs to be some perspective here. You can watch another team train. That’s fine. But not in the three day period leading up to a game. There is little to gain. If anything in reality. Set piece routines are of course rehearsed but you can learn far more from watching an opponent play a match. From the team strengths and weaknesses and individual areas that can be targeted.
Of course they should be fined as it’s now not allowed but that’s it. It’s really a storm in a tea cup as it was a high profile game. It goes on all the time but let’s be fair here. What have they gained if anything. Fine them and get on with it. |

The Leroy Fer who managed to help Norwich , QPR and Swansea all to get relegated from the Premier League by not being good enough. That Leroy Fer.
If you like players who can run all day up and down a pitch then yes he’s your man. But as a Premier League footballer ……
Now if you’d mentioned Robbie James ….before your time possibly but a proper footballer. |

Excellent footballer. Can’t see the problem. A player dives and runs the risk of a yellow card. Gets pushed and makes the most of it. Using his experience to benefit his team. |
