Top man Clive - This first class report captures the whole event perfectly. The good, the bad and the ugly.
It has long been known that due to Loftus Road’s compact structure the noise from the stands goes downwards onto the pitch. It was bloody noisy in SAR so the decibels at pitch level in the second half must have been incredible. The fans deserve so much credit in getting behind the boys and roaring them back into the game.
Good that the Gaffer acknowledged his errors in the starting eleven but that is for another day.
Right now I am still buzzing from Paul Smyth’s wonder strike. Who would have thought we would all be so happy with a point against Preston North End.

If Madsen’s free kick went in I would have been on the pitch and I was sitting in SAR.
Yeah the old lady was rocking second half like we know she can.

Today has to be the day we win with more possession.
An early goal will settle everyone down but it will be tough to break PNE down who will probably go with a 5,4,1 formation.

Very good fans forum. The club seems to have turned a corner and now moving in the right direction. Good CEO, Good Manager, Good squad, Good youth development.
Pleased to hear all our injuries are not long term. The Kolli situation was explained well. He needs to knuckle down train hard and show a positive attitude to get back in the squad. We have set high standards and for me that is the correct way to operate.
3 points on Saturday and I think we can all be optimistic going into the International Break.

I'll be watching on Youtube - Shame Ruben isn't going to be there. At the end of the day we are totally reliant on him alone now funding our losses. I just hope he still has the love and passion for the club and doesn't partake in any dangerous sports. |

How do you find these nuggets Clive. Worth the Patreon subscription on its own that.
Absolutely delighted with the point that will be even better if we can get the 3 next weekend as we should.
What I like is the dressing room it seems the best we have had for years everyone working hard and covering each others backs. |

Thanks Tom - Great write up on a frustrating afternoon.
I was a little disappointed with our midfield selection especially Vale in the middle of the park and Chair in the ten and thought we would have gone with a bit more bite. That said the second half was much better and thought we deserved a point.
Never mind we're not going to win them all. Can the boys now react and bounce back with two tricky away games in four days. I would be over the moon with 4 points.
Just seen we have sold out Wednesday night. 8.00pm kick off, school night, arse end of South London, live on Sky........Pound for pound the best supporters in the league. |

Yeah I wanted another body in midfield - Edwards and Vale in a two and Chair playing in the ten role let Middlesbrough play through us as Chair was always wrong side of the ball. Personally I thought Varane would start as it was his type of game and Vale did 90 minutes on Wednesday. |

I don’t really care to much about the song but wearing that horrible purple away kit for a massive home game is a joke decision.

Top man Jamie - Great report.
I really enjoyed the game Wednesday night. Easy to say now I know because if Cardiff had equalised I would have gone home with the right bang needle and been like a bear with a sore head for the next few days.
What a great squad this has developed into. I am sure the wheels will fall off but right now I am loving every minute of it.
Massive test tomorrow. Will need to get another body in midfield and not get bashed up there as in previous encounters with Middlesbrough.
Maybe we are allowed to have nice things after all.......... |

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I used to watch the odd Brentford game at Griffin Park when Rangers were away. My grandad lived in South Ealing so we would pop along after a pub lunch in The Plough.
Will always remember getting bladdered with Stan Bowles in The Bricklayers Arms after one game. I woke up the next morning thinking it was all a dream until the head starting pounding. I was walking on air for days after. |

Thanks for that Clive - Great report especially for those of us who didn't make the long trip or watch on the stream.
I salute each and everyone of you that made that journey.
I will be in W12 Wednesday night for my first league appearance this season. Can we follow up in a game we are going to be favourites in. It's the type of game we can struggle in when expectations are high.
However something is cooking and I like the smell of it. |
