well we salvaged a draw, 2 down, player off , previous teams may have gave up, this lot had a go and got a vital draw.

if too many matches, why have EFL extended the play offs to now top 8?
and i bet any in there won't be moaning about games played, just, can we go up? win at wemberlee?
this ties in with my injuries thread and i guess also debated at other clubs with a full physio room.
yet most are not from violent play as modern footy has no contact.
qpr have not had a real cup run in decades so play less games , imo. we have rarely made play offs, so less games. ie just the 46 and 2 mandatory cup games =48.
but one can say with added nations league, fifa club cups, extended world cup etc players at top clubs must be wrecks, declan rice for one last season , harry kane etc it is money over quality |

many replies , as we add smyth to the list. yes it is great we are top 6 , good support and many positives.
as for too many games, well in the 70s/80s teams had squads of 16 maybe a few more but not the big squads of now ,or so players then dipped into reserves we now rotate often, as for qpr a cup run is a rare thing so less games, we used to do QFs a lot.
and pitches were so poor back then, mud baths , uneven , they'd play in snow and ice , on pitches covered in sand ( anfield was dire once, sand patches all over) , but maybe it is a vast improvement in physios, no longer a fat bloke with a cold water bucket and magic sponge , a tweek could be a week out rather than months. |

pubs are expensive as they go gastro and become gentrified, 7-8 quid a guinness or a peroni, nah.
however around soho, a few SIMMONS bars are 3 quid a camden hells and 4 quid a guinness, they are usually busy . around tthe corner the famed TOUCAN is 9 quid a guinness! |

lamptey is back from a bad ACL injury when on loan in italy last season.
i am hoping we cop none at baggies saturday. |

we did pass it around a lot and i was thinking will Madsen or someone try a long shot, charlton defended well and with numbers, trying to play round nearly worked , our corners created little from then that caused panic or a goal threat.
we passed it well, quick and had a good tempo, which i prefer us to do.
losing lamptey and dunne is not good. lamptey was doing well, over lapping and getting past them.

well after last night we CANNOT lose 2 players a game, no squad in world soccer can handle that.
it has been over many seasons and we sign so many with iffy records, few work out.
is it the modern game is faster, players more bulked up/muscular? stronger defenders? ( but contact is less these days no vinnie jones and tommy smith, chopper harris these days)
too many games, well QPR used to play 42 league games and go deep into cups , now the league is 46 and we rarely do cup runs so it likely balances out.
we face a long hard winter , long trek north etc we need a fit squad if we want to push top 8 ( get to 50pts first then see imo) and /or stay away from the drop zone. |

we were lucky we got the best out of him and he struggled everywhere else .
he was magic for us, some special moments with routledge, some wonderful goals and a real QPR 10 shirt maverick. he ripped the league apart that promotion year and supported all over by a great goalie, derry and hill, heidar and co. |

why do we get so many? is it basic unfitness? poor training? last season the pitch didn't help but seems ok this time.
why do we sign so many will dodgy fitness records? and are our medicals doing their job?
chair was out for near all of last season and out already . if we get a fit squad we could have a real go at a top 8. |
