Thought we were sloppy for much of the game with more misplaced passes than before this season; in addition to the wind the pitch seemed to be very bobbly and the ball often held up so our passes were often being pinged too firmly. Again the 2 in midfield were overrun so we often went long to little effect and no changes made till the last 20 mins. On the other hand I thought Berkoe had his most effective game going forward and making several crosses and it was important to get the 3 points in however ugly a fashion. Credit to Aldershot who pressed high (with their midfield advantage) and played some neat passing football. |

Agreed we're playing very well but we all know getting out of this league is so difficult that we don't want to waste any % point of improving our chances of automatic promotion. According to my calculations, of the 10 goals we've conceded in league and FA Cup games this season 4 have been from 2nd balls after we've failed to clear crosses - so maybe it is worth a further look? |

Just watched highlights and he's not wrong about their chances - it could have finished 4-6; more significantly, we seemed to lose our shape and be vulnerable to 2nd crosses from corners? |

Good bounce back after consecutive home defeats but Mani's yellow card was so predictable - oppositions have sussed out he's a card in the waiting . We lost our way after the card for 20 mins (as McNulty acknowledged post match) and gave away the ball several times. Yeovil had 2 good chances from those mistakes (and hit the bar 2nd half) - better sides will punish us. |

I don't think so - Murray simply reported that but for the received proxies the meeting would have been inquorate and thus closed. |

Murray Knight also reported that the award of a Golden Share to the Supporters Trust is still in train and awaits edits to the Club's Articles of Association. With regard to being quorate it was reported that 18 members were present but that received proxies exceeded the Quorum. |

I think Bob Morrisey has been Interim Chair in 2024/5. Murray Knight reported at today's AGM that the post of Chair is elected by the Board from amongst its number and following the AGM election of the new Board that election would be held. [Post edited 18 Oct 12:15]

Seem to recall his tendency towards a 'show pony' personality & pulling out of tackles led to fans criticism. But like our Tarryn, occasionally he's brilliant. [Post edited 12 Oct 10:13]

Don't think you're giving York enough credit. They put us under pressure and at any level that leads to rushed decisions and mistakes - thus those first half chances. We were off the pace from the start. As their manager said, Newby defensively was excellent stopping TARR's threat. It's true we didn't change our pressing tactic when they slowed the game down nor did we sort the spare defender issue between Beckwith & Bercoe - which contributed to Bercoe being less attacking as others have noted. We needed Rodney & Barlow deeper to pull about their defences which would also create the space to go long to Mani D. Agree we didn't attempt shots from outside the box (bar one from East) which in the end won the game for York. Most worrying is that we did nothing about all those issues until we went behind. |

They're not employed to entertain the opponents' fans - in the end they did a job on us in terms of formation, frustration and energy. Never seen Newby as a wing back but he did a superb job defensively, limiting our usually dominant right side as well as scoring their goals. More worrying is that our problems were evident from ko but nothing was done about it until after we went behind. |

As an Odoh fan I'm pleased to see him have success. The negativity of some fans towards him didn''t help his time at Dale and in retrospect appears a sign of poor judgement. |

Just a word for the KG goal - hadn't realised how good it was. Looked a bit scruffy from the original camera angle but the goal line angle today shows what a great run from deep it was; we've evidently worked effectively on both defensive and offensive corners |

Happy to see marketing initiatives to increase attendances but if you put another column in the OP table - "no of premier league grounds within 20 miles" you'd get a different perspective? |

On a quick first read we appear to have been awarded a Silver ('showing good progress' but not yet ‘regulator ready’) The scoring: Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards Each of the 164 clubs assessed were given an overall score across all eight of the areas covered by the Index. In addition, to ensure consistency of performance, clubs were also assessed on whether they met minimum standards in the four core areas that represent the primary focus of the Index of: ● Finance; ● Governance; ● Fan engagement; and ● Transparency. To achieve a Gold Award, clubs had to record a strong overall score AND meet the minimum standard, equivalent to a Bronze rating, in all of the core categories. Similarly, only clubs achieving this minimum standard in three of the four core areas could qualify for Silver; and for Bronze, they needed to hit the minimum in two of the core areas. |

It could also be that Allarakhia is a better attacker than defender - so far Pritchard looks a better fit in the role |
